So what church do you belong to?
 Quoting: MaxMad

This isnt an ad hominem attack on you. Its just about what you believe. You keep dodging the point about graven images, which isnt very honest and straightforward of you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9142675

So why not come forth and tell us your church?
 Quoting: MaxMad

It will only serve to segregate.

Matthew 18: 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Your question only allows you to dodge mine. Again, if you're ok with graven images in your church, so be it, but dont turn around and question why people weigh in on the pope. That doesnt make any sense.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9142675

And you are too afraid to admit the church you belong to... I have no issues with the statues because they are to honor those who faithfully served the Lord... Not intened to be worshiped..

It takes the focus off their own crimes against humanity.
Have you noticed that not one Church anywhere ever criticizes what rights the Governments are inflicting on the people?

Re: why are protestants so eager to weigh in on the pope???
It's not just the graven images. It's almost everything about the Catholic Church. There's just so much its' hard to limit it to just one, but how about Holy Water.

Holy water. How does it get "Holy". The Catholic church erroneously believes that the priest is the embodiment of God therefore he can "bless" the water and make it HOLY. There is no such thing as blessed or holy water with any special properties.

Max, you can say that praying to Mary is just praying to Mary to ask her to pray to Jesus...but that's just rediculous. And, WHY? WHY have an intermediary?
Go to yahoo or google and type in "kneel to the pope" or "kissing the pope" etc. You'll likely find hundreds of photos of men within the church bowing down to, kneeling to, and kissing the hand, feet, etc of the Pope. While he stands there limp wristed allowing men to get a good smooch in to VENERATE him...

We dont have to go through an intermediary... Only if we want to... I'll give you a clue it has to do with Jesus first miracle!

Well maybe we can get the OP to see one at a time. I never understood the holy water either, there is no Biblical justification for it, and it only appeared around the 9th century.

Look at the VATICAN itself! It's it's own country! And everything about it is grandios. Palaces and cloisters and chapels and banks, filled to the brim with gold and golden images and jewels and paintings and treasures of the world and on and on and on, all venerating the Catholic Church. I'll certainly admit that it's magnificent, but it celebrates itself, Not God, but Catholic Church.

Leave it alone... Your NOT catholic move along!!! Catholics dont care to talk about Baptists, Lutherans, or Joe Piscopo's so why you so eager to talk about their church? You believe what you want and they will be believe what they want...

Because John the apostle - the original protestant - weighed in on the catholic church and the city of 7 hills in Revelation 17. Look it up.

The second commandment? I typed it right in the post you quoted, please stop dodging and be sincere.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9142675

Please be specific... what are you referring to?
 Quoting: MaxMad

Being a buttinsky here, but probably the part about not bowing down to idols and graven images.

Statues of anything or anyone. Even crucifixes are a no-no.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1482838

So when it says "every knee shall bow..." thats a no-no???
 Quoting: MaxMad

Not before the statue.
And all Catholics have those statues and brought them right into the sanctuary of worship.

They kiss their little crucifixes in veneration. All of it
strictly forbidden by GOD.
No stand-ins.
No instead ofs.

And as someone stated before, the ONLY intercessor between GOD and man is Jesus. Mary is dead, and in her grave.
Resurrection day has not come yet.
She neither sees nor hears your prayers anyway.
If directed to her, they are in vain.

Look we ALL know the RCC has its issues and they address them... In fact, a few hundred years ago they may have given off-that holier than thou attitude... But today the church as a whole has been humbled... Most "fair-weather" catholics are long gone...

It's simple, as long as they influence policy, economy, trade and war, they effect all of us.

Therefore we are entitled to have our say.

Don't like it , stick to strictly church politics and your own flock and stop trying to tell the rest of us what to do.

Re: why are protestants so eager to weigh in on the pope???
...

Has nothing to do with that... It has everything to do with Protestants who come on here with their "holier than thou" attitude but are too afraid to tell us what church...

Look we ALL know the RCC has its issues and they address them... In fact, a few hundred years ago they may have given off-that holier than thou attitude... But today the church as a whole has been humbled... Most "fair-weather" catholics are long gone...

At this point im sure you understand the second commandment is violated by the Catholic Church. Instead of admitting it, you dodge it and try to justify it still. There might not be a way to get through to you, but I give you credit for inviting the discussion.

And instead of admitting your church-you just slam others for their belief in theirs!

I admit my belief openly, it is Christianity. What you dont understand is that in the year 33 AD right after the cruxifixion, there were not dozens of denominations. Just Christianity. Getting this yet?

As well I admit my belief openly, I am a Christian! But I also stand behind my church-the GOOD, the bad and the ugly!!! Why because want most of you aren't understanding is that there must be bible-believing Christians in the RCC to help her in the transition!

Leave it alone... Your NOT catholic move along!!! Catholics dont care to talk about Baptists, Lutherans, or Joe Piscopo's so why you so eager to talk about their church? You believe what you want and they will be believe what they want...
 Quoting: MaxMad

I'm sure there a lot of solid Christians in the Catholic church, but Rome is the end-times center stage for the appostate church. Rome ruled most of the known world at one point and the direct geopolitical descendent of that former beast empire is the Vatican. Doesn't matter what denomination you chose to follow, the seat of power of the catholic church is worth watching and important developements and decisions worth noting. Even by it's own catholic "prophecy" of popes by St Malachy, the next pope is to be the last. So yeah, anybody with a brain and honest spirital insight should be interested in what is happening with the head of the catholic church right now.

The prophecies within the church are for bible-believing Catholics to understand the times!
 Quoting: MaxMad

Are you a bible believing catholic? What do the catholic prophecies tell you? Would this information not be important for everyone know, be forwarned, and heed the warning signs of the comming apocalypse?

Would the OP answer this please?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9142675

 Quoting: MaxMad

True Christians use imprecatory prayer.Catholics are not christians.Lucifer will soon be dethroned.

Re: why are protestants so eager to weigh in on the pope???
This is what's coming soon. Many will be decieved and the catholic church will be destroyed for its blasphemies. In the Tom Horn article, a prophecy from the Zohar containing mystical commentary as well as interpretation of the Torah from the “Vayera” Parsha includes “The coming of the Messiah” and gives a date in late 2012 for “his” appearance, which on the Hebraic calendar is 5773 that begins on September 17, 2012!

Since orthodox Jews reject Jesus as the coming Messiah, some “Christians” who understand Revelation 12:10 believe his “coming” is simultaneous with the “storm of the LORD” over Passover 2013, that heralds the unveiling of antichrist on May 10, 2013, which is the new moon of 1 Sivan 5773, the day the “antichrist continues for 42 Hebraic months” that count out on October 2, 2016, or 29 Elul 5776.

J. R. Church called Tom Horn a couple years back and showed him verses 476–483 of "Vayera" in the Zohar that point to the time of Jacob’s trouble commencing "late in the year 2012" when the “kings of the earth” gather in Rome.

What I believe is that a “papal conclave” whether scheduled or an emergency, it will be called and be in session when the March 25, 2013, at an instant sudden destruction of the “storm of the LORD” occurs.

At that time they very well could be killed by "fiery flame of devouring fire from the sky, a tempest of hail and a destroying storm of mighty waters overflowing hail along with great noise of thunder and lightning". Isaiah 28:2

Then a final pope could assume authority as the “false prophet” during a time of great tribulation.

Tom Horn also said, “this ancient rabbinical dissertation claims that Rome will be destroyed in the Jewish calendar year 5773, which, on our calendar begins with the new moon of September 17, 2012 and concludes a year later” on 29 Elul 5773.

This Rabbinical dissertation said, “In the year seventy-three [2012/2013] the kings of the world will assemble in the great city of Rome, and the Holy One will shower on them fire and hail and meteoric stones until they are all destroyed, with the exception of those who will not yet have arrived there.”
