Do a random act of kindness to a stranger today
I've already done mine. Held a door for a lady coming out the gas station and gave her a smile as I did it. Probably made her day!! Feels good to help others just as much. So what are you going to do today?

Thanking you for this thread :-)

Just wanted to share that I joined the community group where they fix food for the elderly, I have the best times playing cards with them. They are the most happiest group of people. Lets not forget the elderly people they are our backbone to who we are. Our elderly people now are the ones who engrained in us as children respect for one another. Lets us carry on there legacy. All the heart virtures.

I saw a guy hold the door open for a woman behind him once at a shop and she said rather frostily 'I hope your not holding that door open just because I'm a woman!!!'
He replied with great humour 'Certainly not madam!I am holding it open because 'I' am a gentleman.'

I was very kind to the woman sitting next to me in the bus.

However, she couldn't appreciate my stroke and cuddle attempts.

I told her she needed love, but she hit me and called the police.

Thats the spirit, doesn't even have to be something big. Maybe shovel the neighbors driveway for those that are living in snowy areas right now, maybe when you go through the drive-through for lunch tell the person at the window you will pay for whoever ordered behind you, maybe if you go shopping offer to take up a shopping cart for someone after they have unloaded their groceries in the car.

A random act of kindness per day, and then post about it, seems very self-absorbed and self-promoting. It should not be something to be "shown off", that you did something nice for another human, it should be something that is done throughout everyday, without thought.

It's not about beating someone or who is more giving, its all about doing something you love to do. I love to be happy, and we get so caught into our daily lives because jobs take so much out of our lives, that I have the time while I am looking for a job to do this. Its really fun, go try it. All it takes is 3 ours a week to go volunteer somewhere where you can help uplift the world, and while you do that God uplifts YOU.

Re: Do a random act of kindness to a stranger today
finally, spending so much time on the internet and reading all kinds of different stuff, including all about illnesses, symptoms, possible cures paid out somehow.

as a ffriend of mine is sick in different ways and we had a really long talk last night, i highly probably found the reason why she is sick.
she told me all what´s going on, and i could only think of one reason that fits this all;
she suffers from light depression, headaches, a dermal fungus infection, stomach problems and pain in her joints.
besides that, she eats a diet really high in carbohydrates and drinks not enough water.
none of the docs she already visited thought about this:
candida infection.
made her do the waterglass test, she sent me the pic 2hrs ago, and if this test is just a bit trustful, she is infected.

got her all serious information about this together and sent it to her - told her, she should drink more, to eat more balanced and should see her doctor on monday for a stool sample, to find out if there´s too much candida in her.

i really do hope i found the reason why this wonderful young woman is suffering from different symtoms since more than 6 months.

I kept holding the door for people, not even getting a "thank you". So now when I hold the door and someone just walks past and says nothing I respond with a "YOU ARE WELCOME" draws a lot of attention, love doing it!

but i wonder if it is a good deed then, when i make some of them feel uncomfortable for not saying "thank you" to me?

I do that from time to time as well lol. But we need to learn to open doors without expecting a thank you. Basically your expecting something in return for your kind act and thats just not right.

it's more of the fact that you need some sort of recognition for holding a door open.
i mean the more you do it, you'll see that a lot of people do say thanks, or smile back. and there are others who would have ran into the door because they're stuck in their phone. if you were to do that to me, lolsign and THANKS!.

at the last poster. i guess it can depend on the person and the deed. another post for another thread maybe pump2

i'll have to look for an opportunity today for a random act of kindness!1
