I know military men, there is no way this "marine" got off that easy in the first place. A few months in rehab?
They would have investigated where he got the drugs from and when they found out he was the dealer he would have gone to military prison.
I have had family members from each branch of the service and the marines are by far the most elite and there is a reason for that.
One of them being there is swift punishment for marines who break the law.

Jesus taught us the obvious things -
That the kingdom of heaven is within us (not out there).
That God is with us always (not out there)

“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21)

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

Jesus also taught us that we are to love God with all our mind, heart, and soul. For this is the greatest commandment. If the kingdom of heaven is within us (where God is), then we must FIRST LOOK WITHIN OURSELVES.

THAT is the simple Truth of the Gospel; from Jesus' mouth.

This belief that god is sitting on a throne in heaven is a childlike belief, and it is astonishing that an adult would ascribe to such a belief.

It directly contradicts what Jesus taught us.

You are the last person on this forum who should be lecturing anyone about false teachings and about not listening to the input/perspectives of others. Children live from the heart. They're closest to God. They don't have the fake personnas developed (EGO), nor do they hide themselves behind adult lies.

They live truthfully, tell the truth, and wear their emotions on their sleeves. They're vulnerable, open, and easy to read. They forgive easily, and don't hold grudges like adults do. They don't know how to judge, either.

They're living from the Kingdom.

THAT is the child that Jesus is talking about.
