It was for personal use anyways :) But it wouldnt suprise me if other places used GMO's But i assure u all cigs contain nicotene... I roll my own... And if i have to buy a pack its 100's and i tear the filter off... And i got nicotene stains on my fingers... Reason people dont hve nicotene stains is cos of the filters... I've been a smoker for 25 years and ALWAYS smoked filtered cigarettes and always got nicotined stained fingers. but recently they removed the nicotine & tar label off the sides. and I wondered why. started looking/asking around about why the ingredients label on the side of the pack of smokes is missing and thats when I followed the GMO tobacco trail. AND my fingers haven't had nicotine stains for about 5-8 years, its hard to pinpoint it exactly. To the other poster who asked to cite resources: Google: GMO Tobacco No nicotine. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 36154833 Japan 03/15/2013 09:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | GM cigarette boasts no nicotine A genetically modified cigarette which is virtually nicotine-free is likely to be on sale in the UK within a year. Smokers report that it tastes like conventional products, according to the American firm behind the technology. It claims the cigarette will provide a non-addictive alternative and could help millions kick the habit. But experts warned that the nictine-free product would still be damaging to health, while anti-GM campaigners warned that it would lead to widespread cultivation of GM tobacco, with devastating implications for the environment. Anti-smoking charities also warned that coming up with 'less harmful' cigarettes could well encourage and not reduce smoking. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] |

Yes, there are GMO Tobacco Plants ok let me rephrase this : I smoked for 25 years, Im female, and I used to have to bleach my smoking fingers because of NASTY nicotine stains. now for about the last 5-8 years nothing, my fingers are clean and my smoking habits have not changed one bit. I remember in the 80's my dad's fingers used to be soooo yellow it was gross. now I don't see nobody with yellow fingers. I am talking about canadian tobacco, which could be different from american tobacco .. I don't think so though because its the same corporate companies. |

I smoke 'sparrow' pipe tobacco and either roll mine own or smoke a pipe. And i know pyramids and lucky strikes contain nicotene. But i honestly rarely buy em in a pack. At least the ones sold here in kentucky do. If i go 8 hours without smoking and i smoke real fast... I still get an awesoke nicotene buzz... Would not suprise me though if GMO's have hit other brands and places. Each pack is labelled for sale in a certain place... They have too cos of the tax code. So while my tobacoo in kentucky is nicotene laced lol "your" tobacco in nevada (for example, if op lives in nevada its just chance) May be GMO evil tobacco... The stupid shit they be doing to our products is ridiculous... Thanks for the heads up OP... If i travel out of state im making sure i got plenty of smokes! _______________________ |

Simeon St.Paul User ID: 40965175 United States 09/10/2014 05:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Truth be told, I just got off of the line with the rep at the company, and he tells me a whole different story. Now maybe circa 2000 and - the tobacco they used was 'GMO' or filled with pesticides. But in reality today (2014) it has changed a lot. Native American Spirit Cigarettes, or Nascigs for short are now produced in two distinct varieties: one being natural and the other being Organic. For instance, if you take a look at the menthol, look closely at the back. You will notice it says made with Organic Tobacco and Organic Menthol. Now apparently there is a non-organic version as well. But these particular Organic Menthol cigarettes are not specially labeled as such, they just say natural. As for the tabacco itself, the rep told me NONE of Nasigs use GMO tabacco, and that they test all of their non-organic tabacco for pesticides and chemicals, and if it's not up to bar they won't purchase it or use it. As for the 8 or 5 labeling, it's BS for cigarettes,(I dunno about food). I checked my Nasicg Menthol Pack with Organic Tobac and Ment and it's a 47995-85505 ( the last part starts with an 8 and ends with a 5, but yet its organic) Hope this answer some Q's!!!! (PS i dont work for them, I just smoke 'em, and I really need to quit) KIDS, DON'T SMOKE ANYTHING EVER, shizbadfoya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
