We pay prov tax of 25 cents per cig that's $50.00/carton of 200.
Then there is federal tax on top.

A carton of 200 runs you between $90.00 and $115.00 or $11. to $14 /pack of 25.

I quit 39 days ago and have saved $400. so far.

You have a long way to go to catch up with the tax on our smokes.

On the plus side, I feel a 1000 times better since I quit the evil white cancer sticks.

A CT scan in america is about 1000 dollars.

I can get the same quality CT scan in Europe for about 100.

hahahaha... and who told you that cigs were bad? Couldn't have been the years of propaganda... could it? Do research on actual deaths associated with cancer/lung cancer, etc. It like .08 percent higher in smokers than those that never smoked. Eating one grilled burger or steak has more carcinogens than an entire carton of cigs...

It and the support from the thread made quitting much easier than I thought it would be and I smoked for 38 years and never thought I could quit.

Now I know, we will never, ever, ever, get back together.

No, you are incorrect. Price controls and taxation on certain products, labeled by the govt, is not LEGAL. Hmmm, maybe we should start taxing the fuck out of gas for people who drive and ruin the environment? Or perhaps those that eat healthy, because it requires more labor to process. Bullshit can be made up all day long. Just because you don't agree with something, does not make your agenda correct...
