These are older ones, some pics are from in the middle of painting. Quoting: Junkyard Lily :psalmofo: This one really grabbed me. Thanks. Thanks, it's about 15 years old, an illustration for an old story poem of mine, along with the others. I would guess OP would include a story poem as art. (hint, hint) ;o) Of course! I have this theory that you can make any sentence seem profound by writing the name of a dead philosopher at the end of it - Plato |

I like this artist very much: :PaulDavidBond: Paul David Bond I agree, that is a work of art, Lily! Thanks U3, Love/Light, and Sloane. I will see what I can dig up of the story poems that go along with them this weekend in a manuscript, a lot of my writing and paintings are in boxes, packed away. Both those paintings were sold to a friend of mine, and more or less completed, those pics are from a few years ago at their earlier stages. The moon painting has a lot of symbolism in it of the moon/water--there is the moon, weeping willows, luna moths, and moon flower (hard to see). The desert painting goes along with the story of an ostrich who stuck his head in the sand, and the characters who came to visit him. The first story book I read as a child on my own was Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories, I think it had an impact on me in later years, some of my art and writing. |

I love her paintings, mostly of women working the rice fields. This was the only one sized small enough to post. :maianh: I always like the art you post Sloane and pics, beautiful and imaginative! Mai Anh's work I have seen before, she really translates the environment and her feelings so well through painting, beautiful piece. |

I know this thread hasn't been about music so this will be my only post like that. But since people have been sharing stuff they made, this is my "art". The genre is Uplifting Trance, it's happy-sounding fast tempo music. Very nice! What program did you use? |

I have. All my stuff sounds like some alien music or something, lol! FL8 Alien, huh? When we have 1st contact with our space family, that might be one of the 1st things I ask 'em... "hey, what does your music sound like?" I'd rather have my music sound alien and still feel like it really comes from me than forcing myself to conform to an already popular genre just so I have a chance to make money out of it. I already love uplifting trance so I enjoyed making that one, but the one I did right after was too slow to be called trance and it was also much darker (scary, not sad) even tho the vocal sound bites in it are actually taken from an episode of Family Guy. So you have scary interlaced with funny... that may sound alien to some people. It reminds me of a scary dubstep track by Dodge & Fuski (Grannystep) which is interlaced with funny sound bites of the grandmother of one of the guys ripping on them. |

I should have messed around with it longer than I did. I gave up too soon. It's ok though, I can always go back to it at some point. I've just joined a drumming circle which is a lot of fun. I'm not all that good at drumming either. I dance great though, lol! I'll look up Grannystep...sounds interesting. I guess you know Netsky, Orzo, Skillrex and B-Complex? I don't really know who the big names of Dubstep are, except for Skrillex, I have about 25 tracks of him that I like. A dozen tracks from Dodge & Fuski. I also listened to the entire list of uploads from the YouTube channel UKFDubstep about a year ago, which was about 300, but I only liked 27 of those. I also found about 20 I liked from a few pages from Dubstep threads here on GLP. Thanks for those names tho, I could use more Dubstep, I'll have an idea what to look for. |
