Or does that not serve the agenda? Just for the record, I don't see you turning over stones and finding out if the moon should have been seen in the southwest at the time and location the OP described, or trying to find out why it might look red from Utah right now. That photo was from August 14th, but it's the same story tonight. At the time OP says he took his photo, at 5:22 UT, the moon should have been about 20 degrees above the horizon in the southwest, at 218.22 degrees azimuth with an apparent orientation of 25.64 degrees from vertical with the illuminated limb facing down towards the horizon as seen from the middle of Utah (39.5 N 111.5 W).
