GOP bill to cut 40 Billion dollars in FOOD STAMPS! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16599138 United States 09/19/2013 03:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The federal food stamp program... not to mention the fact that there is no provision in the US Constitution that makes it legal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31340483 The U.S. Constitution states in Article 1, Section 8 that Congress has the power to "collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States." . Welfare and food stamps are provably counter to the general welfare of the United States, and unconstitutional as they are redistribution of illegal currency paid as wages. Couldn't you say the same about foreign aid and military pay? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42044103 United States 09/19/2013 03:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everyone who is on food stamps is not lazy or illegal. Many are working families needing some help to make sure their children eat. Don't give me that if you cant take care of them then don't have them BS many lost damn good paying jobs and are not able to afford everything such as rent, lights , water etc. There is nothing wrong with using food stamps for a while till a person gets back on their feet and not make it a lifetime commitment. For those who are abusing the systems they are the ones who need to be kicked off. Reforming government assistance is only one small thing we need to reform the entire government and make it possible for folks to live the american dream again. |

Then on top of it all call people bums and low lives for not adapting well enough in the world of pure evil. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4079673 That people is the way of evil. Hail satan. Or is paying taxes for other people? By the way, the jobs were shipped overseas because of labor unions and the left-wing politicians who mine them for votes, and rents are high because of the taxes charged on the properties by left-wing politicians who use the money generated to buy votes. Free health care isn't denied, it doesn't exist. All health care is paid for, just not by the recipient in the case of people Democrats want to buy votes from. And again, there is exactly no evidence to show that you can't cut a program that recently doubled in size by 5% without impacting those who are truly in need. Here, take this hand cream. Wringing your hands that much over imaginary nonsense must be giving you callouses. Hey I didn't make the rules on planet evil. Others did. Don't talk to me about things. Tell it to God...etc. However, God did make the world in such a way that it was populated by people with many different levels of ability, and set the entire world up as a competition between different species, as well as a competition between individuals within the same species (and here God agrees with Darwin). Equality of outcome is not how the system is designed, and as with every other case where people try to change how the system is designed, they will exhaust themselves trying to change it. The US government, under the able direction of liberal idiots, is proving that again at this very moment. Thus, if you believe in either God or Darwin, you must accept the inherent inequality of individuals, and therefore the concept that some individuals will be "winners" in life whereas others are "losers". And, as with everything else in nature, the "winners" decide what happens to the "losers". In no case that I can think of do life's winners disadvantage themselves so the losers attain parity of outcome. Such a thing would be counter to the intent of the system, which is intended to establish the human race as triumphant over all others in perpetuity by increasing the race's strength via competition and achievement. This is especially true in Darwin's version of the system, where success of the individual is essential for the success of the entire species, as the species benefits most when the successful individuals pass on their genetic material. Either way you look at it, forced equality of outcome is bad for mankind. No, this is NOT an argument for the rich taking advantage of or starving the poor. It is an argument for the proposition that societies need successful people in order to succeed, and that if a society tries to make the poor rich at the expense of making the rich poor, it will inevitably fail. |

When a person who doesn't becomes a person who does, his position will change like the weather...etc. Quoting: AA 47096534 When the last company I worked for went bust, they gave me a form I could use to apply for unemployment. I framed it, hung it on my wall, then started my own business. Never took one cent from the government. The implied warrant in your statement is that people who are in favor of reducing the food stamp program by this minuscule amount ($4 billion per year out of $83 billion)want to cancel it. That is nonsense. If people really need it they should have it. However, when more than 100 million people receive government food assistance, a number greater than the total number of full-time private sector workers in the US, it becomes pretty clear that the government's priorities need to shift from creating dependency to creating jobs. And how many of those 100 million people are the working poor? Why don't we just cut the whole program and save that $85 billion a year for something else...etc. Try reading this over and over again until you understand it: "If people really need it they should have it." Republicans are calling for a cut of $4 billion per year out of a budget of $83 billion. Or, if you prefer this in libtard propaganda numbers, they are proposing to cut $40 billion out of a program projected to cost $830 billion. Any way you cut it, the cut is about 4.8%. Even in the single-celled brain of the most intelligent libtard, that is nothing resembling "cutting the whole program". |
