So it is not a "lack of funds" issue. Someone threw green paint onto an unguarded Lincoln Memorial recently so it is not an issue of guards not being present. Closing these is pretty much obviously just a political closure. So if a bunch of people showed up at the Lincoln Memorial and passed the barricades and were arrested. I would think they would have a good case that they were arrested only for political reasons. |

In other words, during a financial shutdown, they are SPENDING MONEY to stop people from viewing a monument. All they had to do was hire one person to charge $2 a person to view the memorial with the excuse of the government shutdown. Veterans would get in for free.
