anonymous inquisitor User ID: 908676 United States 11/12/2013 11:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Comet ISON coma is currently the size of Jupiter and getting bigger everyday, when it passes Earth (it will pass twice actually, back and forth) the dust will engulf Earth and kill 99% of life. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49851466 Why do you think there have been so many recent scientist and astrologist suicides? Do some research yourself and see why this is the Comet every scientist is terrified to the core of their being about. Was talking to a friend..they told me that the small meteor fragments incoming, as a result of ISON et al, and that the fragments have been determined to contain unknown, nonearth related single cells, with no known DNA. Said these fragments are causing the red waters being reported worldwide. I saw another thread that described the waters as being thick like V8 tomato juice. Is this what you are referring too? I have searched for the information on line...and have not found confirmation on the above...anyone with information...please share. |

Quoting: green_girl So our atmosphere acts like a force-field, blocking everything that tries to enter from space? What about meteors? And how is it a tiny amount of dust if it spews out 112,000 pounds a minute? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 5680160 United States 11/12/2013 11:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just found this: So how big does a meteoroid have to be to make it to the surface of the Earth? Surprisingly, most of the meteoroids that reach the ground are especially small -- from microscopic debris to dust-particle-size pieces. They don't get vaporized because they are light enough that they slow down very easily. [link to science.howstuffworks.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49851466 So what effect will the dust have on earth exactly? Anything to back it up? none. "Cyanogen smells pleasantly of almonds, but it’s a poisonous gas composed of one atom each of carbon and nitrogen. Diatomic carbon or C2 is equally unpleasant. It’s a strong, corrosive acid found not only in comets but also created as a vapor in high-energy electric arcs. But nature has a way of taking the most unlikely things and fashioning them into something beautiful. If you’re concerned about the effects of cometary gas and dust on people, rest easy. They’re spread too thinly to touch us here on Earth. That didn’t stop swindlers from selling “comet pills” and gas masks to protect the public from poisoning during the 1910 return of Halley’s Comet. Earth passed through the tail for six hours on May 19 that year. Amazingly, those who took the pills survived … as did everyone else." [link to www.universetoday.com] :malefav: I love this place!! |

Comperio User ID: 47077108 Denmark 11/13/2013 04:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A comet rushes toward the earth, a deadly, glowing orb that soon fills the sky and promises doom. But mankind is too busy hating, stealing, scheming, and killing to care. As luminous green trails of cosmic dust and vapor stream across the heavens, blood flows beneath: nations wage all-out war, bitter strikes erupt, and jealous lovers plot revenge and murder. The earth slips past the comet by the narrowest of margins, but all succumb to the gases in its tail. When mankind wakes up, everyone is completely and profoundly different. In the Days of the Comet is H. G. Wells's classic tale of the last days of the old earth and the extraterrestrial Change that becomes the salvation of the human race. An ill-fated romance between Willie Leadford and Nettie Stuart unfolds in a world buried in misery and bent on its own destruction. After the earth passes through the comet's tail, suffering, pettiness, and injustice melt away. Willie, Nettie, and everyone around them are reborn. They now see themselves and their world in a dramatically new and wonderful way.
