I obviously enjoy some of the tech and appreciate the benefits of living during this time. Ultimately I AM trying to "conserve" knowledge that we are losing all the time. I'm not afraid of change and can adapt but I do want to bring what works. Am I behind? It might look that way to many in my life. I mean ancient btw. If you could rewind time back to when lost "advanced" civilisations were thriving it would look like a future world. It doesn't matter how you get to where you're going as long as you make it there. |

Imagine a horizontal line, on the far left you have communists and on the far right you have fascists. Now pull the ends down and in to connect them to form a circle. They meet at the same point. You can also add the concept of time into this visual equation, while the right try to "conserve" some of the old ways, the left try to "progress" into the future, but it's all the same. You can't distinguish "advanced" or "retarded" in terms of timing when it is circular. The future is the past is the future. Now then when you have the circle, you have liberty and freedom at the near edge of the circle and at the far edge, where the bar ends meet, you have Progressives, communists, butted up against facists. What they all have in common is state control and domination and lack of personal freedom. I suppose the 1% don't care what kind of govt exists as long as there is strong state control, and, of course, they control the govt.
