If you still are looking for a family I would love some help. I have never had to do anything like this before. I lost my job in oct and can not find another job. I have applied everywhere but I am either overqualified or going to interviews and no luck. It is so frustrating. I have a 3 year old girl. 1 year old boy, 12 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. I am going through a divorce and I have nothing. I went to the county for help and the only thing they gave me was food help and medicaid. I don't understand why since I have no income at all. WE ARE 2 MONTHS BEHIND IN RENT COME THE 1ST AND $600 DOLLARS BEHIND IN BILLS. WE COULDN'T THROW A BIG 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY ON THE 15TH OF NOVEMBER AND WE ARE ON THE BRINK OF HAVING OUR CAR REPOED. IT SUCKS AND IT GETS WORSE. YOU KNOW WHAT I AM EATING FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER TOMORROW? MAC AND CHEES OR WE WILL GO DOWN TO THE SALVATION ARMY. I have always been a go-getter. I have always had faith and been thankful for all that I do have which isn't much but is more compared to other people. I am sick with worry about Christmas. I have no more ideas. I ran out. Before - I could work, now I can't - although I would like to believe I can, I can't.

I have managed to raise 3 daughters and have only 2 at home now. The fathers of these daughters turned out to be abusive and alcoholics and I found it within myself to leave so my daughters would have a better life. I tried to get an education but it seems like everything I try fails. I don't know what to do. I have never felt sorry for myself before and now that I am beginning to, I find that scary.

I am at a loss and I know there are so many people out there who have it much worse than I do. I am going to volunteer at the local Salvation Army and do what I can do but my spirit is so depressed. I find myself wondering is this what life is all about? A constant struggle? Why aren't things changing? I have good in my heart and have never meant to hurt anyone and I know the Lord knows that. What can I do? I am surrounded by people who live bad lifestyles of drugs, alcohol, and all the sicknesses that plague the life. I have managed to keep myself isolated from them for the sake of my little family. It is so difficult to see people do evil and get things so easily and yet I try to do good and constantly struggle.

I have little faith that this will even help but I am desperate as so many are. I wish, for once, that Christmas did not have to be so degrading. Please pray for my family and for all other families that are facing similar circumstances. I know that if He so chooses He will see that my daughters have an enlightening Christmas and that I improve in my health and do not remain in this rut forever. I know I can be cured but I have to deserve it first.

one year we were very down and out with money...

my boyfriend had just gotten a new job and his boss eventually learned a little about our situation...

he discussed with his wife and his teenage sons...

they forewent presents for themselves in order to supply my three kids with some christmas presents... it was a really deep spiritual experience...

the wife told me that she really had wanted to embody the true spirit of christmas and was very thankful to me for providing her the opportunity to give with love... made me cry having to say 'you are welcome' when she was the one giving the gifts...

I KINDA FEEL BAD FOR SAYING, BUT MY ADULT DAUGHTER & I ARE JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE LIVING. I AM ON DISABILITY FOR MY BACK. I CAN'T LAST LONG WITHOUT PAIN.MY DAUGHTER HAS REALLY BAD ALLERGIES AND CAN'T GO TO TOWN WITHOUT A MIGRAIN.SHE IS ALLERGIC TO SMOKE,PERFUMES,MOST CHEMICALS.SHE WORKED AT A TICKET OUTLET FOR 10 YEARS TILL HER ALLERGIES FROM PERFUME ETC. WAS SO BAD SHE HAD TO QUIT.WE BOTH LIVE ON MY $674 A MONTH.WE TRIED TO GET WEATHERZATION TO HELP US ,BUT THEY SAID THE SITUATION WAS TOO SEVERE, AND THEY COULDN'T HELP US.STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND.WE WENT TO THE USDA TO TRY AND GET A TRAILER SO WE COULD ATLEAST HAVE A SAFE WARM HOME.WE ARE GOING TO PAY $300 OF THAT $674 A MONTH TO LIVE.I SLEEP ON A BROKEN RECLINING SOFA, AND MY DAUGHTER ON A BED WITH A MATTERESS WE FOUND IN THE DUMPSTER.RIGHT NOW THE MILDEW,AND MOLD IS SO BAD IT IS AFFECTING MY BREATHING.WE WILL BE GETTING INTO OUR NEW TRAILER IN ABOUT 4 WEEKS, BUT DON'T HAVE ANY FURNITURE.I JUST WISH I HAD A LITTLE TO BUY SOME THINGS FROM THE SECOND HAND STORE.

OMG..I am sitting here crying my eyes out..How freaking bad..I know what that feels like...My parents were poor and had 3 kids and I had to be the older one in the house to do without Christmas so that my sister and brother could have..I knew by age 9 that Santa was not real...As I sat on the steps looking down at my parents putting presents under the tree knowing that Christmas lost the magic for me...Later in life I have adopted a baby..I live for Christmas, making sure she has always had one..Never want her to feel that sting..My Daughter is Autistic and many treat her like she has the plaque..Really pisses me off..Breaks my heart..Gets hard to make up excuses for people to her all the time as to why the behave the way they do...This Christmas is hard this year..I could not work due to surgery a few weeks ago and one week before that she had surgery on her tummy for what they thought was Cancer..I Thank God it was not..This Christmas is going to be a hard one...We lost our home and our business..We had a place to go until the owner lost thier home..We were homeless in our car for a few months..My daughter did not have a birthday a few months back...And no school clothes..She was lucky to have someone just bless her with shoes...Stuck in a size 4 when her shoes size was an 8...Her toes were curled in them..She also got a few pants to were cause hers were very tight..All she asked Santa for was a DS to replace the one that got broke and a netbook princess one from Toys R Us to do her Starfall on she can not read or write to well yet..I can not afford to do any of that..Not working and healing after surgery here...So yes I am telling you..Just because something may not seem normal to others does not mean it does not understand or have feelings..Oh yes they do..They have to overcome so much more in life then the so called Normal people..My daughter cries a lot from kids making fun of her..Not fitting in she says...My daughter will be going to counseling this Christmas cause her family doctor feels she is in a bad spot right now...And then on top of that her Christmas will not happen for her...I cut her a tree down last night from the woods..So she could at least have that..And I am hurting from it today..Trying not to show my pain..Cause she was at least a little happy last night to have her tree..Please everyone life is not perfect..Do not treat people so cruel...You have no idea what is going on in someone elses life..To judge them..To hurt them..All I wanted was help this year for her Christmas and all the organizations I was referred to are closed and can not help...My heart is breaking for her..And Christmas will be here soon..You can never imagine what it will be like to have to tell your child why Santa may not be coming to your house..Let alone the pain the mother has to live with..So please do not judge others. You have no idea how painful life can be sometimes..I have no idea what I am going to say to her. But I guess I will fiqure that out when the time gets closer..So please everyone who thinks handicap childern are different then normal childern your wrong..They know..They hurt..They feel..

My name is Richard and I would like to know if anyone knows of some organization I can get with to help with Christmas. The Thursday b4 thanksgiving my 4 yr old accidentally burnt our house down. Then to make matters worse we just got married on the 26th of Oct and modeled our living room and kitchen like a month before that. We both work but really would would like to enjoy this holiday since we had a hotel and lubys thanksgiving. I am a single mom of three kids ages 4yrs old girl and 2 boys 8 and 11 yrs old! I am unable to work due to so much pain in my body I am currently see a dr who thinks I have Fibromialgia. It is very painful! I am needing gifts for all three kids and a dinner to I have a tree up already! please let me know if you'd be willing to help! You're not really soliciting sob stories are you?

While it's nice that you want to help someone, if you're really just teasing needy people or looking for a pat on the back you need to be honest with yourself.

I have no doubt that you know plenty of people within your circle of influence that you could help. Even presidents have had family members on welfare. Start with you family - aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, etc., before you consider strangers.

Hi I am a single mother of three kids ages 5 yrs Girl and 9 yrs Boy and 12 yrs boy, I am unable to provide a Christmas this year, I am behind on everything Rent, 2 months behind at $500.00 a month I owe the landlord $1000.00 and am fixing to be kick out she has waited to long as it is and I am thank ful she is trying to give me time, I am just in a bad place and need help with everything!
