Here's one story...but it really wasn't something that I saw. I was 10 or 11 years old and my sister and I were sleeping on the floor of our spare bedroom. I was right next to a sliding door closet, which was open. Sometime during the middle of the night I had rolled over onto my right side (stomach mostly) and my left hand was now in the closet.

At some point after this I was awoken by something coming down very hard on the top of my left hand. It felt like sharp nails or claws. I was so terrified that I found that I couldn't move and couldn't scream. I wanted so badly to scream for my mother, and tried, but no sound came out. I tried to see what it was, but could only see deep blackness. I told myself maybe it was just something that had fallen off the top shelf. I sat there feeling this "thing" pressing a little harder and finally told myself that I was going to have to gather myself and just rip my hand away. It took a minute or so, but I finally did it. It hurt like hell! I then mustered the courage to get up and turn on the light and then peek into the closet (while standing on the other side of my still sleeping 6 year old sister!) but there was NOTHING. The entire closet was empty (this was a completely empty spare room).

The next day I still had marks on the top of my hand, and I remember showing my neighborhood friends and telling them my 'scary story'. I don't think it had yet occurred to me just how odd this experience had really been...I just thought it was kinda cool to scare the other kids. Later, I understood just how odd it was. I still wonder what it was.

The one thing I wonder about is that I found out much later that the friend of my mother's, who had stayed in that room for a few months right before this, had constructed a small alter in the room and my mom said that she would do these "spells" to try to make this guy like her. She had actually acquired some to this guy's hair to use in this 'ritual'. I'm wondering if maybe she opened a door? I know that our neighbors refused to housesit for us because of the stuff they experienced in our house, and after that I had LOTS of negative spirit experiences in my life.

Here's another:

I have seen spirits my entire life. As a child, I didn't realize that everyone didn't see them. There were many nights where I would wake up and see 8 'old men' (they looked like grandpas to me) standing around the entire circumference of my bed. My headboard was against a wall, so they were standing from the left side of my head all the way around to the right side. They were white and had beards. They would just stand there staring at me...never smiling or saying a word, yet I felt completely safe and comfortable with them. I would just look at them all and then go back to sleep. Anyone else ever see them?

Also, when I was 9, we were over at my Mom's best friends house. She lived in a townhome. Us kids were upstairs playing. I was busy melting crayons on a lightbulb (lol). Anyway, I looked towards the door and I saw this woman walking up the stairs and then turn and walk toward the room. She was very short and round (looked sort of like that psychic lady in Poltergeist, but heavier and had red hair). She stood in the doorway looking at me and just smiled. She looked completely solid and was in full color. After smiling at me, she just turned and started walking back down the stairs...but then disappeared on the 2nd or 3rd top step...looked like she just disintegrated.

I'v seen UfOs close up 30 feet from me, I talked to a man that had been dead three months but I didn't know he had died at the time I was talking to him , he look alive to me. Found out
later he had died.

Those were strange but they don't bother me, as much as an insect I saw when I was a young teen. These insects was at my sisters house, by a tree not to far from the house. I heard a
funny sound coming from the bottom of the tree, and saw these insects so I reached down and pick one up, I put it down pretty quick too, the thing had a face on it that look like an
old human man and it sounded like it was trying to talk. Like I said I put it back where it was, and never went never that place again. Haven't seen any insect like it since and don't want to. They were about 2 inches long and the face was pink and look human.

Used to work in a zoo and saw a dork armed with bible trying to climb the fence around the Lion enclosure. Security dudes stopped him unfortunately.A shame, he'd have amused them for half in hour or so. Add to that seeing a male chimp jerk off and throw the end product in the face of the woman teasing him. Classic!

I had a similar experience as this..one day about a year and a half ago i woke up early after a long night the night before for some reason..i ended up getting up anyway and got ready for the day. After getting ready i was like you know what? theres nobody up right now.. (about 8 am) so i was like ok im going back to sleep. I layed on my bed but because i wasnt under the covers I took my pillow and put it where my feet usually are and started falling asleep..for some reason my ears started ringing and eventually popped and i felt like i was dying for some reason..I was convinced my heart was stopping. So I ended up falling asleep I guess but when I did I was above myself..i could see myself on my bed..the clothes I was wearing..how I was laying down..the individual objects in my room..then for some reason I saw my friend (who wasnt actually there) peeking into my doorway asking if it was alright to come in..I saw him and what he was wearing and everything..before i woke up i was hearing a wierd conversation between two women and i couldnt quite get the subject then boom i woke up and i was so convinced my friend was there i went and looked outside to see if his car was at my house..nothing. My theory is that maybe because I was convinced I was dying my pineal gland kicked in? Definately one of the wierdest experiences in my life. THIS WASNT A DREAM...

I've read about a similar insect before (but I think it was like a caterpillar?)...I'll see if I can find the reference for you.

Reading about this gave me chills.

Someone I know told a tale of seeing a huge thing that had the abdomen and legs of a spider, the torso of a human, the head of a horse and arms that were like lobster claws. Its eyes on each side of the horse head flashed with a white light. There is more to the story but I won't tell it on here.

Wow,great thread,I absolutely loved reading all these things that happened to people. This is actually the first thread I`ve read page to page.It`s just awesome,pls do some more stories.I have a story also but it`s not that weird.

2 years ago one night I went out with my friends to a playground,summer time,at about 21:00 CET,we were chatting about paranormal stuff,since my friend brought a magazine called "The Third Eye" it`s a magazine in Serbia about paranormal stuff.
So we were talking about it,when at one moment,something flashed in the sky,a bright light,then I looked North,I saw an Orange ball if you can call it that,then it just split into two balls,one was red and one was green,I just freaked out,and asked my friends if they saw it,only 3 of us saw it,we were freaked out as hell. After we calmed down we looked up to the skies again,there was a cluster of stars about 7 of them moving a little bit,I couldn`t believe my eyes so I asked my friends if they could see it,they said yes,the stars where making the letter "T" but the upper part was a bit twisted like this \____/ but it had a bit lesser angle than those slashes.
Also one time when I was about 8,9 years old,in my apartment where I live atm,since my room goes into the main hall and at the end of the main hall there was like a crossroad if you know what I mean. To the left was my kitchen/living room it`s put together somehow with a space inbetween,anyways to the right is my sis`s room,and in the front was my bathroom,so I was going to the bathroom and looked into the kitchen,and what I saw? I saw a little "gray" standing there,I was little at the time so I freaked out,got into the bathroom closed the door,and was in there for 5-10 mins. . I remember these things all so clearly.

I saw something similar across several nights while camped in a clearing in the Ozarks. Lights a little larger than baseballs, disappearing, reappearing, similar to fireflies, always at the edge of the field, or moving in the trees along the hillside. I stood and watched for hours; tried to approach them, but the closest appeared about 6 feet overhead in the branches of a tree for only a second. An anomaly that I've wondered might be the source for stories of faeries.

Ever heard of the Dover lights? This is a good time of year to see them. Just a few miles from home for me. I have seen them, and they are strange.

Thank you for the welcome,I just remembered something I left out. I live in a building that has some kind of a little park inbetween my building and the other one there are a lot of trees,and of course since this is Serbia there are a lot of junkies. Anyways anytime I pass by this park walking to the entrance of my building,once I saw something really weird,it wasn`t a junkie tho,it was an apparition or something like that,it kinda looked like a vampire from the movies or something like that. When I saw it,I just stood there,couldn`t move out of fear was like 10,11 years old. I was looking at it for like 10 secs,it didn`t look at me (thank god),then I ran to the entrance of my building,ran up the stairs to the 4th floor,got home,realised what I saw and just went straight to bed,couldn`t sleep tho. One of the scariest things I have ever seen.

3/4 kettle of water boiling with a glass cup and saucer next to it for a cup of tea for my sister who had called in for a visit,girlfriend in the next room getting ready...the kettle started to shake and really boil and then a stream of hot water filled the cup to the brim and stopped.both my sister and i could not believe what we saw...in a heightened state we explained to my girlfriend( now wife) what we saw...i then went to show her what i did before it happened,so i filled the kettle again and placed the cup back into the same position...now the freaky bit...as i demonstrated,the kettle boiled...and again filled up the cup without spilling over in front of all 3 of us!!!

i have tried and tried to make this happen again with the same kettle,a new one,holding the button down, over boiling...
NEVER ONCE HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED AGAIN...now thats weird!
