Gaia Man, with full respects to your visions (and this post is not an attack):

I don't see any approaching storm. I'm full of plans concerning my current job. My plans are reaching probably up to the year of 2020 and beyond.

I see a lot of trouble everywhere on the planet; yes, even a perfectly blind can see it. But I do not see a global turning point for the next 5 - 10 years.

The apocalypsis has been predicted "for the next years" during the last 2000 years, and there have always been signs to be interpreted as the precursors of the expected apocalypsis. If 2012 will pass away without big changes, then 2030 will be the next discussed date. And if in 2030 the End has not come, it'll be expected for 2070, and so on ... the never ending story ...

Is our memory, personality, and sense of personal identity at any sort of risk in 2012?

Well, first of all, technically it is the most advanced, because it's a real video, not a slide show with music (though he fit some of his favorite slides in). The music is very peaceful and fits the visual content very well.

At the beginning: this mountain is SO beautiful! I can see she has a wonderful soul. Thanks to the creator for such a perfect creature! Then, the eye wanders down to this hot spring where the monkey stands (very good transition), and it's obvious the monkey is meditating. You can really see how he is trying to get at the deeper meaning of all this beauty around him. Then in a flash (well done with very simple means) he manages to grab a tiny bit of reality. This reality is shown at the end in the beautiful woman's eyes rising above the horizon. This final slide is one of the best visual representations of Gaia as our Earth Mother I've seen so far. No wonder it's one of Gaiaman's favourites!

With these simple means Gaiaman has visualized the whole topic of "We are not alone", elegantly and beautifully, completely without sensational UFOs and the like. (The writing he put in isn't even necessary to get the meaning.) There are no "aliens", as the reality all around us literally consists of our fellow beings. As the Native Americans say: all my relations! And he illustrates in an encouraging way our own difficulties at realizing this ;-) We are the monkeys...!

I disagree.
I totally don't like the videos. They look cheesy and cheap to me.

But I do think Gaiaman is sincere and honest, and I appreciate his sharings of his visions.
