Itchy throat, dry mouth, diarrhea? I live on Lake MI also. I have a well. There has been no change in the taste of my drinking water Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1110334You have a well--- any deep underground water source will be way better than the open cesspits that are our Lakes right now. My dad has a well on his farm, I am on city water in St Joe, though. We're going to be filling up our containers at his place because other people using well water aren't having the same issues, apparently. |

Itchy throat, dry mouth, diarrhea? There is a big caldera coming up under the great lakes, around where that crackalac bulge is. Only something this large could affect the whole lake quickly. I would get a sample to a lab and call the media. I will call my brother there and see if he has heard anything say anything you want to. I have seen it all |

Itchy throat, dry mouth, diarrhea? I live in chicago. The chemical smell makes me nauseaus. I read they we have the highest or one of the highest levels of hexavalent chromium in our tap water. I also read studies that are blaming the steel mills in indiana for dumping millions of gallons of toxic waste into lake michigan. My B**ch Mitch lifted safty regulations so they pretty much do whatever they want. Chicago's water intake is from lake michigan.... we're drinking toxic waste. I also refuse to buy bottled water because it's so dangerous for the environment and our health: [link to www.youtube.com] ..... We're kinda up s**t creek without a paddle. |

Itchy throat, dry mouth, diarrhea? Since about last Sunday reports have been coming in re a weird metallic taste in the water supply in the Great Lakes area. I live on Lake MI and many people have been complaining about the following: Quoting: DoveInLight Metallic taste in water, excessive thirst- no matter how much your drink, itchy throat, strong chemical smell in water (more than usual), diarrhea, stomach cramps, gas, nausea, excessive drooling. If you stop drinking the tap water, many of the symptoms go away. It's been reported not only by people who have their water supplied by Lake MI but also on the other lakes as well. My son was taken to the hospital yesterday because of this and some other severe issues with vomiting. The nurses there told me they'd been seeing people complaining of the same symptoms for a few days. They prescribed him a strong anti-nausea med. There have been no news reports about this. The EPA isn't even publishing the rad levels for this area-- just BLANK. you can sit there and drink it ... or get a sample and send it off to an out of state lab.. to have it analysed!!! That is what I would do. Don't wait for anyone to do this... and get a water filter today!! |
