Before further flight, operators of U.S.-registered, Boeing 787 aircraft must demonstrate to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that the batteries are safe and in compliance. Imagine if out of a hundred laptops, several caught fire within months. There would be a recall. Personally I think lithium batteries in a plane made of plastic is a big mistake. AGM batteries are heavier but much safer. |
