Atlanta Snowmageddon 2014: Part Deux!!!!

I am in Georgia right now, North of Atlanta, Norcross to be specific.
I flew down here from Houston monday and will be here till friday.
There was a little hail today, Gerbil turd sized hail. it all melted away. Tonight its suppost to Snice, my word for the news's "OMG ICE AND SNOW HOLY SHIT THIS IS A SERIOUSLY DANGERIOUS MIX!" Its snice, The News is completely blowing this out of proportion, They are trying to compensate for they're fuck up last month of not warning anyone about the snow/ice, or Snice. I WILL LINK PICS when it starts tonight. I have Jerky, Rahman, Beer, Internet, Enemy Within "Incase I lose internet", and my trusty kickass flip flops.

They just said I kid you not lmao "UP to Four feet of snow in the next 24 hours"


Up north when they get 4 feet of snow, Mom yells at the kids to get up early and shovel that shit before going to school. lmao the hype here is overwhelming. I went to target to get a new mousepad and Guess what???


Anyways, I will update when something in the weather changes. Right now just Puffy low dense clouds, moderate breeze.

I mist drive to Miami from nw Ohio tomorrow, could leave tonight if necessary. Should I stay on 75, take 285 or is there a safer route?

I would probably suggest taking 285 and following it until it ends.

I know that a lot of folks laugh at Atlanta and snow, but you have to understand, we don't have the equipment in place to deal with these types of situations. These situations are infrequent enough that they don't feel like the expenditure is justified.

This has the potential to be worse than part 1, as it is going to be, at least partially, an ice storm. I have the capability to work from home, so I will be good.

I really want to go as soon as I can. Cancelling the trip altogether isn't an option.. But I do have until next Thursday off of work.. I can wait a day or so..

I'm trying to debate if I leave now and get to atlanta in 8 hours or wait until what time.. but if theyre saying this could be over a week maybe i should just cut through west of atlanta using US 1 / GA 27 if that would be the invevitable option later? Or even further west....?

The best way would had been for you to be on I-75 S right now in stead of still in Ohio.

just got off work and showered less than 20 minutes ago. car is packed all i gotta do is hop in the car but im not sure at this point

Everyone should think about what ice does ta the power grid..electric lines snap and no power for many,many days.

Look at the area they have for the Ice Storm,no gas/food/heat unless you have it yourself already.
