This is the American “Great Leap Forward”.....

You know what the 'Lock him up' bit reminds me of.. The 'landlord vs. peasant trials'.

Mass killings of landlords under Mao Zedong

Part of Mao Zedong's land reform during the late phase of the Chinese Civil War and the early People's Republic of China was a campaign of mass killings of landlords in order to redistribute land to the peasant class and landless workers.

It resulted in millions of deaths. Those killed were targeted on the basis of class rather than ethnicity, so terming the campaign genocide is incorrect. The neologism "classicide" is more accurate.

Class-motivated mass killings continued through the almost 30 years of social and economic transformation in Maoist China resulting in the deaths of 90% to 95% of the what used to be 15 million members of the landlord class in China according to Harry Wu

20 to 43 million people perished from starvation during the Great Leap Forward. Not all deaths during the Great Leap Forward were due to starvation. Frank Dikötter estimates that at least 2.5 million people were beaten or tortured to death and an additional 1 to 3 million people committed suicide.

The Great Leap Forward also led to the greatest destruction of real estate in human history, outstripping any of the bombing campaigns during World War II. Approximately 30 to 40 percent of all houses were demolished.

I knew they would some how take all the assets of older generation..that could have helped to offset the continual reaming their children and grandchildren have taken over the decades.

99 y/o grammy next door has lost 100's of thousands in the last month. She lived long enough, to lose what she could have given to her grandkids.

I haven't bothered to ask my parents how much they lost.

At this point I think they want to create total despair over the depth of their evil. Break the wills of everyone..all at once.

Landlords have always been known to be particularly cruel over the centuries.

During the Famine period, an estimated half-million Irish were evicted from their cottages.

Unscrupulous landlords used two methods to remove their penniless tenants. The first involved applying for a legal judgment against the male head of a family owing back-rent.After the local barrister pronounced judgment, the man would be thrown in jail and his wife and children dumped out on the streets. A 'notice to appear' was usually enough to cause most pauper families to flee and they were handed out by the hundreds.

The second method was for the landlord to simply pay to send pauper families overseas to British North America. Landlords would first make phony promises of money, food and clothing, then pack the half-naked people in overcrowded British sailing ships, poorly built and often unseaworthy, that became known as coffin ships.

"The Fields of Athenry" is an Irish folk ballad. Set during the Great Famine of the 1840s, the lyrics feature a fictional man from near Athenry in County Galway, who stole food for his starving family and has been sentenced to transportation to the Australian penal colony at Botany Bay. Glass–Steagall legislation

After the financial crisis of 2007–2008, some commentators argued that the repeal of Sections 20 and 32 had played an important role in leading to the housing bubble and financial crisis.

Economics Nobel prize laureate Joseph Stiglitz, for instance, argued that "when repeal of Glass-Steagall brought investment and commercial banks together, the investment-bank culture came out on top", and banks which had previously been managed conservatively turned to riskier investments to increase their returns.

Once I overcome gambling, I will have no addictions ha
 Quoting: Braden Anderson

Gambling is one of the worst and has one of the highest suicide rates of any addiction. Often due the enormous amount of debt one can accumulate with little option for paying it off. Which leads to the pit of hopelessness, with suicide is the only way 'out'.

In Oregon, there are casinos EVERYWHERE. They serve no purpose but to ensnare, and I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to spend 1 second of their time in such a place.

That's just my opinion though. Problem is..this entire country and her economy is a debt based gambling system corrupt and cancerous to the core.

One of the more notable scenes in Stranger Things 3, is when Xlexi, a Russian spy is taken to an American carnival. He is told all the 'games are rigged', but chooses to play anyway and wins.

In his triumph he disregards the warning of the 'rigged game' and instead walks toward his death with a smile on his face.

It's not rigged..

It's not rigged..

There's no place like home, Dorthy..

Sounds like shame.

Or self-fulfilling guilt..

Earlier this morning I heard a noise. It sounded like someone fell into a set of those wooden sliding doors, we all know as closets.

My dog popped up, and I knew he heard it too.

I said..Did you hear that? Think grammy just fell again.

Hearing it the last time(2 months ago)..and not following my intuition after I heard a rhythmic tapping coming from what I could only assume was next door..

My first impression was to mention I thought she had fallen, but did know she wears around her neck a button, that if she DOES fall can be immediately pushed to alert EMS. She's very stubborn and refuses to use it.

After a few minutes we got the call and yes..99 y/o grammy took a spill in her bedroom into the sliding doors, just like I heard..and said.

My partner was contacted by the button company that said button had been pushes, and he went next door, unlocked her door and found his grandma in a heap..for the third time.

Once EMS and the Fire crew arrived that could adequately move a 99 y/o old woman..from her house..she looked like a small sack of potatoes being carried out in this red sling. Impossibly tiny.

...

3 hours later she was back at home. She's okay. She's a survivor. We got her nurse/maid to come back every day.

When I heard the tapping the last time..I discounted my intuition.

She was on the floor for hours, tapping in her kitchen. I heard it..and I mentioned..but didn't take action..because I wasn't sure.

Eventually..after hours..she pushed the button and my intuition came to call. I was right. Like I usually am.

I was right this time too. But this time was minutes. Not hours.
