Text books, politicians and MSM have been calling it democracy for at least 25 years. They repeat the word democracy 10, 20, 30 times a day, 365.

The Pledge of Allegiance says, "To The Republic for which it stands, One Nation Under God..." is no longer said in school either.

More than half the population has been reeducated that the rule of law is dead and mob rule is supreme. Good luck OP!

You just gave a whole new definition to public school REtard, and clearly didn't learn what a Republic is.

Stop confusing people with the democratic process of the electoral college for an election in a REPUBLIC: the rule of law by the people and for the people with liberty and justice for all.

Travel and communication has nothing to do with the definition of a REPUBLIC.

You certainly proved clueless in your definition of a Republic, electoral college, subject context, sentence structure and punctuation.

Your vote, dumbass, doesn't mean a damn thing with the electoral college in a what is now known as democracy: mob rule.

There is a popular vote, a Republic. However, it's ignored in favor of the electoral college, by your definition: democracy. How is it a "democracy" when the majority of the votes are ignored in favor of an antiquated electoral college, by your definition again, was created out of necessity when QUALIFIED CITIZENS COULD NOT get to the polls to vote? My how our definitions (of some rules) change and others remain embedded in history. Targeted parts of the Constitution are interpreted differently almost every day. You can pick the parts you want to suit your definition.

There's so much ignorance in your response, it's inconceivable. You need an American Government history class.

Furthermore, go start your own thread about the electoral college since you're unable to comprehend Republic and Democracy.

Very good post AC. I would correct the one inalienable to unalienable. The distinction, at least to me, is important. And add Austrian economics as opposed to keynesian. But then that would be my preference.

Governments insofar as they are necessary are instituted to protect rights, not take them away.

The stated cause of class distinction is arguable.

Otherwise I applaud your post.
