It's a redistribution of wealth scheme. Everyone gets coverage those who can pay will have to pay for those that can't one way or another. Everything is covered preexisting conditions too.

Hah, I have been sick of it for a long time. This is just another step in a long line of steps towards completely losing my shit over it though.

In all of the past things the feds have done, they have been smaller and less significant to my normal day to day. By design I might add. They didn't affect my family because I was able to absorb the smaller hits. I created a buffer from the monetary aspects of life so they could concentrate on being happy and living a good, positive life while there was still something left to be positive about.

I am more pissed off this time because things have officially gotten to the point where I can no longer provide that buffer for my family. They are feeling it and I am having to explain that things are going to change for everyone in very big ways.

In short, the government and their shithole policies have stopped affecting just me and are now affecting my family as a unit.

When you fuck with my family, I get pissed on a whole new level. I am sure you can relate to that.

Depending on the premium per month x # of employees, deductibles, co-pays, and other factors, it's often MUCH cheaper for them to self-insure using a health plan like BCBS as the front-end (to access their network and pre-neogiated rates) and just paying BCBS a small monthly fee for handling the paperwork side of things.

Assuming Trump does win the Presidential Election and he becomes our new President there's no guarantees he'll succeed in getting rid of Obamacare. Last I knew there is alot of Obamacare regulation and other crap that's still being slowly uncovered by Congress that seems to prove that Obamacare is literally impossible to repeal in any sort of way.

Meaning literally only those who wrote the Affordable Healthcare Act and who those planned it knows precisely what's in it. Congress is only allowed to get bit by bit more information about what's there in Obamacare. It's written so completely in Legalese that it's taking this fricken long to get maybe half way through the entire 100's of pages that is Obamacare.

Last I knew too, the Affordable Healthcare Act is so monstrous and unfathomably inhumane that even the Congressmen and women who have literally deciphered the Obamacare texts they have thus far are constantly surprised just how much more inhumane and monstrous the Obamacare texts continue to become. That should be a gigantic red flag that even our Congress men and women have come to the conclusion already that Obamacare alone shall destroy our country completely.

My family and I were initially way too poor to afford any Obamacare healthcare packages. So we never once experienced anything you're describing, OP. This also means we're so poor that just about anything that goes wrong in our family will cause great ripples of chaos. Them some apples noone in my family likes but it's the cards we were dealt from the get-go.

Hell, my husband has insurance through work and the coverage is 90 percent. He went to a family doctor for a basic check up and we just got a bill for 300$. How is that possible? Fuck, he was only in there 5 minutes?

I think it's to the point that it's just not affordable and should not be purchased.

I went for eye exam and paid cash. They wanted to do an extra test. I asked them how much would it cost? They told me it's a $200 charge (to the ins) if I used insurance, they charge me $20 if cash. I did the cash. I paid them the cash.

True story, happened less than a year ago.

See the problem is that Doctors really don't want to see patients who don't have insurance do to the fact that they over charge and make more money fleecing the companies with nickel and dime shit that a normal people would question plus the Government will soon be charging an arm and a leg in penalties for those who don't have insurance.

That was the great thing pre-Obamacare. You could get a catastrophic high deductible plan for cheap that would cover the big stuff, and you would pay for the everyday small items out of your own pocket. That is what I used to have, but lost it because of Obamacare. I guess I shouldn't complain too much though, because I now have full maternity and prenatal, substance abuse coverage and they will also cover sex change surgery in my new high priced Obamacare compliant plan.
