What a shame.

Marty DeAngelo took a chance that was to serve the public, but I thought this might happen.

All the new sensors in the spillway have their readings posted in the internet cloud somewhere, I forget the site exactly. It is some site that all sorts of big installations use to keep a record of their sensors.

Marty got a guy at MIT to not exactly hack in, I think it technically was legal, but maybe not. Anyway, the MIT guy got the sensor readings from when they opened the spillway and figured out the problem with harmonic vibrations. There are normal readings for when water gushes down a chute and does not make the structure move at all, and then there are abnormal ones if the walls are vibrating. Maybe the floor was vibrating. Something was vibrating.

The MIT guy wanted to be anonymous, but there is no question Marty was telling the truth. Marty posted a link to how to get into the site and check the sensor readings for yourself.I never bothered because I am a bit of a technophobe, and I already saw the pretty pictures at Jack's twitter of the argyle diamond pattern on the spillway water which was clearly vibrations.

I would imagine DWR threw a total fit. I was surprised Marty lasted this long and of course DWR is terrified of more sensor data information leaks when they open up the spillway again.

I bet DWR is pressuring MIT to figure out the leak. LOL.

Then there is Juan Brown/Blancolio trying to shut down all the dam doomers. Not sure if he had any part in it, probably not as far as getting the injunction.

Later I will look for comments at some of his links. Trumpet News, Perth Observer, and Susan Wolding are the only ones I remember.

The zoom cam is still stuck on one image not the emergency spillway either. I tis still raining north and east of Oroville in the mountains and spotty around Oroville.
