OP is right, in that, if you have not been guided by the Holy Spirit up until now, you aren't going to make it, because you will be doing what most of the world will be doing, accepting and receiving the Mark of the Beast.

Only those who have prepared mind, body, and spirit are going to be able to resist the Mark.

Well your physical senses are inputting real time data into your mind and you are responding to it with thoughts, feelings and emotions. Tell me how that's an illusion OP.

I believe being guided by the Holy Spirit and reaching states of higher consciousness are actually two different ways of saying the same thing. God doesn't really care which avenue we take to get home and the closer we get, the more we will understand. On this side it's confusing because of the veil.
