I honestly think this is the most likely reason. Something is going down at Holloman AFB and they got real or fake FBI in to clear it out and maybe fit monitoring equipment to towers?

The most simple seems most likely, if it was a solar or space issue then other observatories would be closed also and despite reports i have not actually seen evidence of this.

It is the best mystery cos it is real on here for a long time imo

Very strange. If I had to guess, I think it has something to do with White Sands and Holloman. But who knows? Time will tell (maybe) and there will probably be some sort of official cover story.

There were a few observatories shut down also, but web based, not physically shut down, including one here in NSW Australia.

But being web based, I think they were shut down to create plausible deniability. Keep everyone looking up.....

An educated opinion...the Chinese have beene putting miniaturized back door surveillance type software and hardware into nearly all good sized electronics equipment they send out...this is a fact. It would stand to reason that our anti espionage teams finally connected the dots and may have discovered that mm and other observatory's have the same type of equipment installed that reports everything back to China. Including the equipment on the towers antenna array.

Check out the area at about 7:30 as you are looking at the sun. It appears the there is an orb outline about twice the size of the sun. Anyone else see what I'm talking about?

these people are experts at lenses and imagery, so
it not surprising that they have rigged some kind of
mask that is tracking the Sun as the camera swings by.
other wise the CCD imager would be swamped with light.

OMG this is so rad, needs to be shared.

He went right thru the tape and 'do not go' signs etc. with a cop car parked behind him lol. Folks are droning as he explores. He finds an X Files unresticted acess DVD set on top of a trashcan inside one of the lab windows. When he returns to his car, like 5 other cars are there and a group of people, one found an unlocked door to the lab and took pics, I wanna see. THIS GUY ROCKS.

It does make me think that whoever did that seriously expected this shutdown to be... persistent, maybe even permanent. They probably thought it would be funny to anyone re-entering the facility later, which implies they didn't expect to be coming back themselves.
