To preserve the system , the Fed had no choice (from their perspective) to keep ZIRP in effect for as long as they did.

The entire western economic paradigm would have collapsed otherwise.

They kicked the can for 10 years but now the US is in even worse financial shape than ever before

It all ends very poorly no matter who what or when.

If Trump fires Powell, he owns the aftermath... which I think was the plan all along anyways...

Trump needs to sign a few EOs to create a gold or silver reserve note. Remind them who is boss.

If Trump wants to fire Powell, the Dow can go to infinite.

The dollar can go to zero.

Trump doesn't need the deep state. He can do it on his own.

There is an alternative paradigm. It is negative interest rates. But that requires sound financial policies.

The point is that we shouldn't let it happen. Spooking financial markets will surely make interest rates go up as people don't trust the currency and that will crash the economy. Think of all the capital destruction. Think of the Great Depression. It led to World War II. After capital is destroyed, interest rates need to go up as there is a shortage of capital. It is better to milk the capital. It is not a good idea to kill the goose that lays the golden egs :).

The deep state has already sabotaged the economy. The unconstitutional Fed has raised interest rates repeatedly. I don't think they have found a way to blame President Trump, but they are determined to kill his recovery.

The economy should have kicked the bucket before Obama became President. But they had to let a Black man run for President before it happened. Hillary could have been the President but they wanted a Black man before a Woman.

They wouldn't allow Hillary to become President over Trump because it would look bad for all Woman if the economy should fail.

By the way, I don't think Trump will fire Powel. If we are going to make it through this? I think they should take their time raising interest and hold off on more tax cuts for awhile.
