The Constitution is a blend of 'moral certitude' -- which is one of the reasons that criminals are determined to be rid of it and We the People must be even more determined to defend it. Anonymous Coward User ID: 77211179 United States 01/11/2019 08:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So i'm outside with my son, enjoying the spring-like weather. When a dude with a damn machete comes out of NOWHERE on the side of my house/neighbors fenceline. "What the hell??' I told him. He doesn't look at me, just keeps walking along the perimeter of my house. I go inside to get the .40 and take my son in, then I go back out to look for him. He then comes out of the trees in the front, cuts through my yard, I'm scared for my life and my son's, I mean why the hell does this guy have a machete and why is he in my yard??? Quoting: TheBlueOne I was lacking sense as I went into fight mode, my blood is pumping... I shoot twice at him, but he gets away. He runs through my neighbors yard. A cop pulls into my driveway and before I have a chance to go talk to him he pulls away fast. I go talk to my neighbor who was outside and apologize if I scared him and let him know I wasn't shooting at him. He tells me he was glad I shot at the guy and he was proud of me, that that guy ran infront of their front door. He said the cops were looking for that guy with helicopters and everything. Sure enough I see a few marked squad cars, and unmarked cars go by and I hear them on the intercom down the street telling him to come out, etc. It was so random. I mean this dude comes out of nowhere with a machete? I wanna know what happened and why this guy was on the run. Lol, such a weird day. Live action, ye ye. did they catch him? |

The police would have been grateful if they came with a body bag, instead of having to confront a dangerous criminal. When you are afraid of losing your life, you have already lost your life. Don't be afraid. |

The police arent up your ass? No police report or further contact with the police? Quoting: allentownchemtrail It's really not a big deal, this is a daily occurrence around these parts. There's a lot of people on drugs here. Lot's of kidnappers, murderers, etc. I did end up calling but i'm still waiting for an officer to get in touch with me. Dispatch said an officer would let me know if they caught him or not. I was trying to let the police do their job after the guy left my property. |

I mean you're out there washing your car when a dude with a machete comes out of nowhere. I'm just curious as to why he was on the run and i'm hoping he hadn't just killed someone... he dropped the machete somewhere in the woods.. I would make different choices next time forsure though.
