Quoting: HAWK-03 It was revealed during the rescue that the boys were mildly sedated to stop them panicking during the rescue — but the truth is much more complex. The boys received far stronger drugs, and they were handcuffed behind their backs to stop them ripping off their face mask should they wake up. “To calm nerves, the parents were told the boys were being taught how to dive and the media reported that each of them would be tethered to an air hose and then swim out with one rescue diver in front and another behind,” Cochrane writes in his book. If I were a much better diver and were trying to rescue them, I would demand the same thing, so they wouldn't kill themselves and possibly me too. . Quoting: BeenHereBefore Still makes NO SENSE how they were brought down there and for what purpose. Just young boys cave exploring, THEN the cave behind flooded their only exit route. In total it took SIX HOURS just to get one kid out in near zero visibility. Amazing really they were able to get them all out at all. |

Tim Foil Hat User ID: 77236140 United States 01/27/2019 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was an amazing rescue. Lots of really good ideas and good people working the problem. It's worth reading the entire article, just unbelievable stuff they were able to pull off. One diver even had to leave his kid on the bottom for a few minutes while he cut the kid loose from something he was stuck on, which he said would have been near impossible if the kid was alert and awake. Not the kind of amazing ingenuity you expect from folks in those third world bizarro places. Well done. Careful! They are listening! VP Elect is the way to go. Renaissance Woman User ID: 74808330 United States 01/27/2019 02:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the author was on Coast2Coast last week +- and told the whole story - the underwater trek out was 5-6 hours through (under) Mud-like Water - which would have most likely cause panic for any average person ... so said the rescuers Quoting: Cosmic Charlie That would have panicked me after about 3 minutes! The drugs were a blessing. I see no conspiracy. I look at it sort of like putting someone under for surgery. Maybe it's not a perfect analogy, but I do think the rescues in a tight dark space with sharp edges would have been disastrous with any kind of panic, flailing, fighting, etc. "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light." |

Ketamine, provides hallucinations, sedation, and amnesia of event...its not the best choice to incapacitate... not a paralytic.a paralytic would not necessitate handcuffs...young, hypothermic, malnourished, dehydrated, in shock.. .not needed, and would be likely to kill a patient in such state. PS sports teams, the amateur athletic union variety all play by age ranges very close a two year age difference Max on team. This alone warrants a big red flag. |
