Yes, like I said it IS on him and it is a great honor and achievement, feather in the cap. Economy changes and people adapt and move on. If you're a burger flipper at McDonalds and all of a sudden a Chil-Fil-A puts your chain out of business, you move on. There is no congress passing laws to protect your burger flipping job and there shouldn't be. That' is how it works in the REAL WORLD. You don't go around sending armed agents all over the neighborhood to collect $ for your pay and refuse to adapt and move one. Big govt is racket and hurts tons of people. In the REAL WORLD, most taxpayers would be glad for parts of the govt to permanently shut down and have those monies returned back to them.

That may be more realistic, Trump is seeking the 5 billion for upgrading barriers in high-traffic areas, not for the entire border. Wonder if we could get a discount by adding a wall barrier at the California border?

I’m not retiring at 50 and I’m not rich. I make 58,000 a year. And have a child graduating. So yes this does get personal. When private jobs end. You don’t lose everything. In mine I could.

Of course you could. Pensions get killed all the time. Tons of private sector people loose pensions all the time. That's why you save your own monies or prep like real world people do. It is personal for you but also for hundreds of millions who suffer because of big govt. World is a tough place and you've been protected by your govt job for 25 year, at the expense of other people who have to pay your salary at gunpoint.

By the way, I know a govt careerist worker who lost all his retirement because he outed a corrupt supervisor and they retaliated against him. He's lucky he didn't get suicided. Big govt truly is like a mafia.

If I’ve been protected I never knew it.lol. But I did take a job worked hard went back To school. Did it the way I was told it worked in the 80s and 90s. And I’m ok with that. The founders of American government didn't trust it either. The federal govt is out of control overreach and spending and needs to return to its minimalist roots. Some govt workers will lose their jobs just like people in the real world lose their jobs all the time. There is no stability in any institution of man and never will be.
