Be prepared to immediately shell out AT LEAST $2000 (more if you can afford it) on some jewelry or gold trinkets to soothe her. Women (most of them) are suckers for anything that's absurdly expensive with precious jewels being on the top of the list. I bought my wife a $40,000 emerald necklace that I picked up at auction in NYC years ago. It was not until she was seeing lawyers that I gambled on giving it to her to save my marriage and my financial ass. It worked. Now 30 years later, she still has the necklace (she's worn it out in public maybe five times in 30 years) and we're still together and I didn't have to sell everything to pay the lawyers and a settlement in a divorce. The $40k was cheap compared to what could have so easily happened. I am happy to know she intends to pass the necklace along to my daughter when my wife dies = so it will stay in the family. |
