Anonymous Coward User ID: 21445996 Canada 09/23/2012 10:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, you've got it all wrong. You're not free. Everything you have (that roof above your head, and the toys) was earned by your predecessor (parent). Which means, everything you have was only obtained through money. You're just the like the rest of the people, of who you consider to be "drone" workers. The only difference is, they are working to obtain the roof and the toys (they like you, have reached the same end as you, but just in a different manner). You on the other hand are just using the money of your predecessor to obtain the roof, and toys. However, eventually, if you ever run out of your predecessor's money, you will probably land yourself (even a minimal wage paying job) just to keep afloat. At the end of the day, you're still a slave to your own devices like the rest of us. I was kinda like you OP, however, I was always in school (even if that meant part-time - so really I wasn't like you, because I never took a semester off) earning an education. Sure most of what I learn in University is useless bs, however, I need that degree I'm working towards to obtain a powerful, influential job I'm striving for. However, the difference between me and the rest of the "drones" is, that I'm not seeking the job to purchase useless toys, no, I'm seeking the job to make a difference in this world with my power. I plan to build a sanctuary for animals (with my financial capitol, and I plan on investing my financial capitol to influencing the vegan (peaceful) movement that has been growing rapidly worldwide. OP, don't look at a job as "drone" work, look at it as a way to achieve power. Use that power responsibly, and try to change the world for the better. The only people that are truly free in this world, are the ones who've abandoned society, and civilization altogether. The people that live in the woods where they are completely off the grid, and provide for themselves. I would like to live like those people out in the woods, with zero responsibility. However, since a very young age, I've always felt the need to change the world for the better, that has been my duty since I was born, and I must achieve that duty before I perish. |

Do you realize how many people go through their entire day without ever looking UP? That's very symbolic. Quoting: SpaceCoyote 1113696Here's the problem with dumb fucking bastards such a yourself. If every single person went through life as you presribe then there would be neither internet nor computers, nor Hot Pockets, nor microwaves, nor NFL, nor movies, nor TV, nor HVAC (heating & cooling for you dumb mother fuckers), nor indoor plumbing, nor houses, nor cars, nor airplanes, nor mass scale food production, nor medicine, nor hospitals, nor doctors, nor dentists nor roads, nor bridges, nor boats, nor eyeglasses, nor shopping malls, nor quick marts nor anything else you put your grimy little rat claws on every day except your whack-a-mole. Yeah but they won't. That's what you poor fools are for. lol, you mad? 5* OP and I live the same comfortable life, I live like a King. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1114186 its all about balance... either 50-50 split or 60-40 one way or the other... NO MORE, you dont have to keep up with the rat race, but be a part of it, and use it to your advantage so that you can get to do what you want to and live the life you want to... not the other way around... WORK TO LIVE NOT LIVE TO WORK the system we are forced into wants it 90-10.. all the time, and for what? to get ahead?.. to were exactly?... straight off a cliff? ignore the bullshit mentality of "you have to do this, you have to do that, get this, get that, go here, go there, cant to do that, cant be that....bla bla bla" live your life in the system and play the game to your advantage, that way you get the best of both worlds... self worth + free time to have and do what you want to... its a win win situation..... its just a matter of what you want and the way you go about it to bring it into reality, not what they keep telling you you must do or be to achieve it....... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1113077I have no desire for a job, wife, kids, or lame house with a white picket fence. Fuck the American dream, I'm living my own dream! I pity all the slave drones who drag themselves into work every morning. Poor bastards! I wake up around 11 am every day, and its always a choice. I can always go back to bed if I wish. If only you poor saps could live my wonderful life....well actually you can, if you wanted to. you are like myself a visionary. add xbox live and recreational drug use to your list and you have my 'Super Six' activities. pin this immediately, this is not a drill. OP's bold vision for life is worthy of something to model ones life on. I only work by writing bs, programming, doing SEO, and other stuff that i can do from home when I want. I almost have enough saved up to buy one of those homes the sucker 9-5ers pussy slave losers got kicked out of in these recent times. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42550750 United States 06/30/2013 02:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Although I know what I'm doing right now sure as hell is happiness, but I rather do this than work my ass off and be miserable or go to school and pay all of my work money just for tuition to learn about meaningless b.s. and accumulate debt after graduation... just to make my family happy that I "went to college" no thanks.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 985009All that b.s. you don't want to do is what it means to be a real man. A real man may never pick up a knife or a gun, or drive a tractor, or operate a chain saw, or do anything that requires being tough and burly. But he is still a real man if he does his duty with grace and fortitude, not crumbling under the load, always getting up when life and circumstances knock him down. That is a real man. A real man may not have tough hands, but he will have a tough spirit that rises to the high calling of duty. It is not about being macho; it is about taking responsibility. Sometimes a man has to do what is unpleasant. That is the demarcation line. Boys stop and look for sympathy and understanding, while the men keep going into territory where it gets hard, painful, and more than that, boring—sickeningly and painfully boring. But they go resolutely on and do it because it has to be done. Men don’t put it off until tomorrow, that nebulous time where it is certain to never get done; they knuckle down and do their duty today. That is a real man. Be your slave in other words. Grow up, bitch. |
