By the way, OP, I don't doubt that Christ will return one day, in a season which Christians will perceive to be the final season, since we are not in darkness. However, you guys must not be aware of 1 Thessalonians 4:17, which reads:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

That word remain is the Greek word Perileipo, and it means to survive.

I'm sorry, but Christians in the last days are not special. We will not be spared from physical death at the hands of world beast system and its followers.

Rather, most of us will die for our testimony in Christ. Only few will remain, surviving at the time Christ returns.

Remember, the Bible says that we were not appointed to suffer wrath (eternal damnation) but to obtain salvation (eternal life).

You make the mistake of incorrectly interpreting the scriptures to mean that we are not appointed to suffer persecution unto death. At least, I assume that's how you're interpreting it.

Also, if the bible is the word of god, why hasn't the bible grown exponentially in size since the time it was originally written? I suppose god left? If he did leave, when was he ever here on Earth?

The bible is a book, much like any other book. Do you think Jesus was the only person that died for "our" sins? Are you so nieve that you believe that this actually means you and the rest of the world? Murderers die for their sins. Jesus' sin was believing something that wasn't accepted. He was a martyr and died as an example to those who believed the same thing. He died for their sins, so people would be afraid and cower.

Someone looked up to him as a hero and made him just that in this BOOK. Honestly folks, if god were real - where is he now when "his" people need him most? If he was the great being that you all say and believe he is, why did he grant us the free will to destroy ourselves just to punish us for it in the end? Religion makes absolutely no sense when you start asking questions, because in the end the only thing it comes down to is faith. There is no proof, there are no REAL explanations, there are no truths - just a book that garnered a cult following.

They didn't have TV or radio back then. They had books, stories, violence, and sex for entertainment. Different types of people grasped different types of entertainment. Those that looked towards books and stories relayed them to their kin and the stories passed down and were altered from generation to generation. This story was delivered as true story as it could have been a factual occurence that a man named Jesus heard voices in his head and managed to wrangle followers into those beliefs which went against the grain at the time and therefore was killed for it. We still have martyrs to this day. Seeing as this story was handed down as truth, it started getting embellished over time and changing until eventually growing into what it is today. A belief system in which many individuals saw as a business opportunity (the Vatican, Pope, Cardinals, Bishops, etc...) and ran with it. Christianity was born and began lining the pockets of these entrepreneurs.

Wake up and smell the universe. The universe is so large yet a small portion of it has become tangible to us. We know for a fact that there are elements that exist outside our planet. We can prove that other planets exist and that their are events occurring outside of our planet. We can see all these things occurring. Meteors travel from lightyears away and delicately smash into our soil all the time. There are so many forces that we cannot explain occurring in our universe, but we can see them happening and we know they are happening. They can be visibly confirmed and scientifically proven.

Where are all your confirmations? Where are all your proofs? Where can I see god making a difference? Was Jesus' resurrection caught on film? Is the person that saw this readily available for an interview? No of course not. These are all asinine questions that have either no answer or the answer is simply no. We are only left with the stories that have been handed down and altered from generation to generation over a period of close to 2000 years.

We've all been through high school and we all know how rumors start and how they end. Many of us have heard the game whisper down the lane where a large group of people stand in line and something is said so that only the first person can hear it. They then whisper to the next person in line and all the way down until the last person has gotten the message. The result: The last person will normally state something that varies from what the original statement was. It can vary very little or tremendously - but one thing is fact: the more people this "whisper" must travel through the more the content of the "whisper" changes. Now, suppose this original statement was an entire story maybe 300 pages long about a man who garnered followers, was a good man, dealt with symptoms of schizophrenia, who was convicted of a crime (believing in something different than what was expected - which was at the time a very serious crime) and executed, and attempt to pass that story down through 100+ BILLION people - see how much that story changes.

My god, is my family - those that are TRULY there for me through thick and then, better or worse. Anyone who thinks otherwise should reevaluate their priorities.

I hope you are right, if not the fear you have struck in peoples hearts will vibrate throughout this universe and my understanding is God does not like fortune telling. For every cause an effect occurs, in this case the souls of the human race who are saved may rejoice on May 21st or all of you will have to ask for God's forgiveness for creating a sense of fear and panic among God's people. However, if it is true you will have saved many souls with the Blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. God Speed to all of you for your courage regardless of what happens.

I think RAPTURE could mean anything to anyone, a physical or spiritual event, a moment or a process, a state of mind or a vibrational shift, but anyway...

(1) What qualities should people already have in order to be resurrected by the Lord? or to be given the permanent access to full consciousness?

(2) We are in the middle of a planetary ascension! so what could be the benefit of "rapturing" the "few blessed" ones and "leaving" the "rest mass" behind?

I believe that the second coming of Christ is about a portal opening, allowing new energy to come to earth now, to prepare us for ascension. I don't think everyone will feel this new energy, but sensitive and intuitive people will.

Well. since you brought this up May 21 "Judgment day" did happen "spiritually".....The spiritual aspect was taught first a few years ago,but the literal became the focus the last two years or so.God in his mery "allow" this message to go throughout the world as is.Otherwise if it was proclaim a "spiritual" event it would not have got the same media coverage and very little attention would have been giving to it.

Instead of the "rapture" (catching up)happening on the "first day" of Judgment it will be the last on Oct.21 2011 (feast of Tabernacles ).....Oct. 21 has always been the EOW from the timeline of history.

May 21 being Judgment day means there is no salvation possible any longer,God's salvation plan has come to an end.

None of us that I know of fell away from the truth and none of us "drink the kool-aid" that you personally keep saying we would do. We proclaim the message and sounded the alarm,there will be nothing else any of us will say on this sugject because our Job is finish and we are only occupy in life til he comes.

Are you ready to perhaps consider that no such thing as "eternal death" exists or is supported by scripture? It's a myth. It's christian porn, for people who don't yet have a grasp of mercy. No sweat, though - we've all been there. It's just part of growing up and bulldozing the carnal strongholds of religious mentality.

What I've learn is that God controls all events in his timing,not ours,May 21 was correct just not how we understood it...Our eyes were are open (see above post).

Eternal death? there is no question that when we die unsaved we simply die,this is the mercy of God....This is why I had some uneasiness with the five months of a literal Judgment (suffering of unsave mankind)it seem to be out of character of a merciful creator.

However,everthing happening on the "Last day" seems to make perfect since at this point,still learning and waiting on the Lord.

I fully understand why things happen the way they did (mention above),I don't believe this because Mr.Camping said so,but I believe the Bible is true & trustworthy that's never going to change.This is all spiritual and has always been for me,man is fallible and for whatever reason he was swayed from a spiritual Judgment day May 21 to literal I can't answer.......FM I have look at the timeline of history over & over again,I can not find any fault in any of it.Mr. Camping is only one of many,many people throughout the world who came to the same conclusions,granted Mr. Camping's booklet "Adam When" was a starting point for many.

If you would have gone through this thread (my post) I don't believe I touch much on the literal Judgment day,but most was concerning salvation and I also defended Mr. Camping on occasions. I can't not explain what I feel in my spirit,all I know is deep in the core of my being I cannot forsake what I believe is truth..I am taking each day one at a time and taking none of it for granted.
