Moved up to Alaska now.

We have three new region, 1441, 1442 and 1443 were numbered overnight. All three are AXX type single spot groups at 10 millionths in size and were all quiet

However, by looking at some of the images from the SDO and STEREO we can see if any flares have taken or took place

The new 'active region' we talked about last days is about to rotate into view over the south-east limb

I have a number of his/her threads saved to favourites just checked them and his name has been changed to an a/c.. weird

Majestic isn't around anymore either, he was a great mind also. He was going on Project camelot maybe his time is being devoted to that, but alot of whistleblowers go missing. Events are going to play out, we're entering a time of unprecedented changes. I believe within the next couple of months for one reason or another they will make it ,so that we are going into events completely blind, no data, no communication between like minds. Everyone needs to be prepared and stay safe. We are a family, all of us on here,! in many ways

SS was going to appear ---along with Susan Renison-- at Project Camelot, could it be his identity would have been known after the broadcast and decided to go underground? who knows...

Just to head things off at the pass, regarding the SS issue, he's alive and well and taking a break from GLP and possibly undergoing an ID change.

Anyone would have gathered just as much had they done a simple search online for his (former) handle, landed on his blog at b l a c k b a g conspiracy(dot)wordpress(dot)com and read his last couple of entries, from as recently as a day ago.

Can we get back to the solar flares and related fun, please?

NASA calling the orb a prominence and frequently observed ...pshaw said I. I called it a coronal cavity when it was being discussed here 10 days ago. I decided to go looking for them to see how often they occur.

Looking for coronal cavities, 3:00 is to the right, 6:00 down, 9:00 to the left, etc.

Around 2010-06-02 to 03 the light levels decreased in the AIA 193, making it harder to see the cavities.

Switched to A1A 211 (purple)...

4:30... interesting one...the flux ropes intruded the cavity and rotated, indicating that the cavities are not static, as they commonly look...even more obvious with bronze...looking at in red shows that it very obviously is a prominence

now go to red...there is a BADASS flare there...

Also notice that the other 2 cavities are prominences.

That was less than 3 months of searching for cavities.

Moving on, the infamous orb.

Well defined in purple, perhaps more so in bronze (because the light levels in bronze have been increased to the levels of the first data listed above, the subsequent decreased levels perhaps part of the reason they haven't been noticed much. I don't know when the levels were increased back to their current levels).

Big prominence, big release.

So... coronal cavity...no. Orb...no. Anomolous...no. Rare... not really. Interesting... hell yes. Prominence...for sure.

Just as different wavelengths show differing details here on earth (way cool Raybans, IR imagery, x-rays at the Dr.'s) so too do varied wavelengths bring out differing details in solar imagery.

The minor magnetic disturbance last night was from another "solar-sector-boundary-crossing. SIDC:

COMMENT: Solar activity is very low. With only small and declining
active regions now on the disk, the Sun should keep this very low
activity, with only a possible isolated C flare. Yesterday March 22
around 18:00UT, the Earth crossed a sector boundary in the solar wind.
Small negative excursions of the Bz component of the interplanetary
magnetic field caused unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions for a
few hours. Now, this slight disturbance has passed. The solar wind speed
is still below 400km/s but may increase over the next 24 hours due to a
moderate high-speed stream. We thus predict quiet to unsettled
geomagnetic levels for March 24, followed by a return to quiet
conditions.
