TEC stands for Total Electron Content, and measures the amount of Electrons running through our Ionosphere in TECU (10x16 electrons/m2).

'I' believe (as do some others) that Electrons/Protons are directly connected to siesmic activity. As of lately, 'I' believe that we have had more of these little critters getting through a battered and weakened Magnetosphere, and as these build up, will cause more increased seismic activity....(its just a theory i have been working on for a few years now)

Though still a little lower than the other Day,I think the overall TEC was in the 60-65 range but still,I firmly believe/know that higher areas of Electron concentration does without a doubt influence Weather(for sure)and possibly feeds into other Geo possibilities.

You were spot on the other Day with your Fiji stab,repeat observation is Science afterall so good luck there Nerd88 : )

It does look like a split in the Electron concentration right above Earths Equator line,I wonder if perhaps the Electrons split like that becuase of the + and - aspect of North and South?

I must mention though that the time where I am in the UK(Bristol,South-West UK)is +1 Hour ahead of GMT.

Looks like 1538 may have helped pop off a CME toward the end of this 48Hr Mpeg [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] 1538 for those popping through is in the Bottom-Right of the Screen as you look at it.

Still no C2 or C3 updates.

New region 1544(circled) was numbered overnight and is a DAI Beta type group at 70 millionths in size.

It is located at 30 degrees south of the solar equator, which is unusual for this stage of the sunspot cycle.

Region 1543 increased in size slightly but also increased in magnetic complexity to a Beta-Gamma type group. Also, region 1542 continued to increase in size.

We count eleven C class solar flares yesterday, most from region 1542 but new region 1544 produced also a couple

1544s location is unusual,but thats par for the course with this sun cycle. It will be interesting to see if anymore drop this low. If Dec., is the date they are shooting for those spots should be tightening right along the equatorial line.

That coronal hole coming around is covering alot of ground, should get a strong stream from this one!
