Anonymous Coward User ID: 44244049 Portugal 07/29/2013 05:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Space telescope spots gigantic hole in the solar atmosphere Posted on July 29, 2013 by The Extinction Protocol July 29, 2013 – SPACE – A space telescope aimed at the sun has spotted a gigantic hole in the solar atmosphere — a dark spot that covers nearly a quarter of our closest star, spewing solar material and gas into space. The so-called coronal hole over the sun’s north pole came into view between July 13 and 18 and was observed by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, or SOHO. NASA released a video of the sun hole as seen by the SOHO spacecraft, showing the region as a vast dark spot surrounded by solar activity. Coronal holes are darker, cooler regions of the sun’s atmosphere, or corona, containing little solar material. In these gaps, magnetic field lines whip out into the solar wind rather than looping back to the sun’s surface. Coronal holes can affect space weather, as they send solar particles streaming off the sun about three times faster than the slower wind unleashed elsewhere from the sun’s atmosphere, according to a description from NASA. “While it’s unclear what causes coronal holes, they correlate to areas on the sun where magnetic fields soar up and away, failing to loop back down to the surface, as they do elsewhere,” NASA’s Karen Fox at the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., explained in an image description. These holes are not uncommon, but their frequency changes with the solar activity cycle. The sun is currently reaching its 11-year peak in activity, known as the solar maximum. Around the time of this peak, the sun’s poles switch their magnetism. The number of coronal holes typically decreases leading up to the switch. After the reversal, new coronal holes appear near the poles. Then as the sun approaches the solar minimum again, the holes creep closer to the equator, growing in both size and number, according to NASA. -Yahoo [link to theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com] |

Activity is up? Solsis, S0 mentioned a satellite anomaly in the beginning of the news. Is this what you were seeing? OK, today, S0 verified it is a star cluster, came around about the same time last year, very interesting Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... Reports the CH is not transequatorial and therefore I presume, much of that solar wind is flying pretty high 'north' of Earth's atmosphere. Good post Luis, thanks. Anonymous Coward User ID: 32031551 United States 07/31/2013 10:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.holoscience.com] I think the sun is being kinda pinched' right now from the increased resonance and energy in our solar system. The result is more CH's and less activity all around. I think if the energy gets strong enough we will witness the double layers being released. I think these energy releases from galactic cores regulate star transition and phases more than anything. |

There is a lot of uninformed threads on the CH, one guy even called it a sunspot. What I know about this is the following, pleas correct me if i am wrong. 1. There is a massive chunk of the Corona missing. 2. The black that we see is not a hoe it is the service of the sun 3. It appears black because it is cooler that the surrounding Corona 4. The link that I attached is the latest image by SOHO 5. It looks like the coronal hole is spreading to the south If all the above is true the i assume the following 1. The sun might soon loose most of its Corona. If it does the the surface of the sun will be cooler than normal and we can expect a marked drop in temp. |

Now i know that there is not grid lines on the Sun it is an images distortion. Question is why dos the image distort like that. I know that the lens is designed to filter some the the light spectrum out what then would be causing this. |

My best guess [link to sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov] SOHO was launched on December 2, 1995. it's almost 18 years old. It's been in space for that time, with it's sensor pointed at the SUN! I think that will ruin most cameras... |

In certain ways in which it gathers light the structure of the ccd is imprinted in the picture. The earth pictures from Cassini have the same thing. |

The 304 image is catching the spectrum at the lowest temperature and tends to grid pixelate out at times, each EIT spectrum catches heat from a different sun layer, this 304 does this quite often. “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle.
