Why are the British such Rude Pompous Ass Holes to Americans?

Go easy on the Brits,hell they lost their empire. By the 70s their whole way of life became a huge crap fest. They seem to like us Texans or at least want to be us. That's common though...I mean who doesn't?

You won't like this but most Europeans consider Americans to be very loud and rude and to us you are.
It's a cultural thing, not necessarely personal or snobism (although it may be sometimes).
Your table manners are horrible compared to how we are brought up and even if you do make an effort you talk very loud.

Well as a matter of fact we do have gyms in the UK and this comment of yours just goes to show how lacking your are in the conversational department.

Speaking entirely from experience, I like the Americans I've met who are Ivy League educated, or from the New York/Boston area, or Californians with a decent education. They're generally smart, funny and have a good no-bullshit attitude.

The Americans I despise are the schlubs from the mid-West (idiots from Wisconsin top the list), ultra-fat and ultra-stupid Alabamans and most Arizonans.

So my liking of Americans runs entirely along class and wealth lines. Those with education, culture and money are fun to be around. As for the untermenschen, give me a break!

Here is a bit of truth for you. The reason the world is generally (I actually hate that word but,)denigrating towards you are many.

Your sense of self importance. We all share the planet, it is not your playground to dominate like a bitch.

The amount of resources you rape for your country. Does the word frugal mean anything to any of you. I mean, really, nearly 25% of the world resources (GDP) every year consumed by the Fucking U S of A.

Your WAR machine. Get a fucking grip. You are not the world police. Not matter what your walt disney propaganda machine tells you. You are not invincible, the war crimes your country have committed are atrocious.

You are spiritually immature. Work this one out for yourselves. Some of you have.

And that sums it up nicely. There are assholes in all walks of life and every country. I have been a few places and watched some of my fellow Canadians act like complete jerks............. and it is embarrassing. It is also true that certain holiday destinations seems to attract a certain 'class' of individual that may or may not be a good fit for us as individuals.

Ya gotta take each person as they come, ignore the assholes and socialize with the like minded.

A very naive view of American "culture" differences.
I would expect a bit of a better analysis from someone so discriminating and well "educated" as yourself.

Also: you don't have to have spent a lot of money on school to be well educated. If your town has a good library, then you can be well educated.
Here in Canada, people will line up in the winter for a author's book signing. Books are promoted on the CBC, and people actually follow along.

We are are both victims of the illuminati ruling families. The English have just been victims longer.

When I was 14, (the child of American hippy/Academics)I went to visit my British cousins with my British "public school" grandfather. At dinner, the family tried to entrap me into a display of bad manners... which I thought was a really strange waste of energy. Really... why bother hazing a defenseless 14 year old that you will only see for 2 days and then never probably see again? Ego trip?

The head of the household (my aunt's husband)served me a small slice of roast beef. Before everyone at the table was served people started eating, so I started eating too and finished my slice of roast beef since we kids had been swimming all day and had not eaten. The head of the household then asked if I wanted a second helping and I enthusiastically said, "yes" without realizing that he had not served himself yet!

Why didn't he just serve himself BEFORE he asked whether I wanted a second? The answer is because he WANTED to trap me into bad manners! What an ass-- it was clearly a silly contest made to humiliate me --- a guest--- which is the ultimate in bad manners.

Later, I was severely scolded by my British grandfather about accepting the seconds, and I was very very humiliated embarrassed and bewildered as to why this was so important..

I will never forget being a 14 year old American sitting at a table with 10 older British relatives. They made me feel so unworthy, and now I know that it was THEIR manners that were atrocious.

A guest should never be openly humiliated in your home, especially if they have not meant to cause offense..

It's not just loudness. My wife is Belgian, my inlaws live there. you Belgians hate Americans more than anyone except possibly the French though they hate everyone. You guys are citizens of little failed nations with no future that will soon probably fracture. You bark alot in an attempt to get attention and console yourselves by calling Americans fat or stupid.
