Where can I buy dinar?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42646890

Dinar vets or google dinar dealers, but make sure they are authorized dealers.
 Quoting: talkstory

I was just reading somewhere that dinar vets theyre dodgy traders.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42646890

On DV, it's just a person to person transaction, and I haven't seen any complaints about members there. That's really if you're looking to get a discount because those guys tend to sell for the market rate. You're taking more of a chance there, though, because you're buying from an individual. There are several traders that are reputable and sell for a premium, if that's the route you want to go. DinarTrade, Sterling Currency, and DinarCorp are the three that I have bought from and never had a problem.

TD Bank buys it. To buy it most airport exchanges carry it.

Chase Bank sold it for years as did Wells Fargo and many others.

Right now I don't know what banks sell it.

Also as of Thursday the 27th of June Iraq was removed from Chapter 7 sanctions and are now 100% internationalized.

The potent word being "DOLLARS" and not "DINARS". Any chance they used the wrong word? If it was a mistake, it would be equivalent to around 856 Million USD. Aint much going to happen with that amount . . . me's think!

If this report is accurate, it's coming people!

I didn't get the impression from the video that they currently had 1 trillion dollar, but that plans were in the works to spend that much money down the road for improvements. This would be done if funds were available. If they had the money in hand, why would citi-bank want to get involved. It goal is supply loans to the government to get these projects under way.

The lifting of the United Nations’ Chapter 7 Sanctions against Iraq, imposed after executed dictator Saddam Hussein’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait, may be very good for Baghdad’s international standing and image. But it does not mean the country is ready or mature enough to be free from Security Council or international supervision.

In its resolution, the UN Security Council recognized that Iraq has achieved “international standing equal to that which it held prior to (1990)."

But the people of Iraq and Kurdistan should not forget that the main reason for Chapter 7 sanctions was not Kuwait; that was just a result: the real reason was the internal problems and Iraq’s violent mentality.

At the time, all problems were embodied in Saddam and his recklessness. Today, they are much wider and more complex, each with the potential to explode into a disaster that could push Iraq back into Chapter 7.

Nice of you to stop by old friend. I would expect to see more banks following in their footsteps.

They have probably loaded these two banks up with much of the derivitives, worthless paper and they will be the sacrificial lambs, at least for the time being

I don't know who that guy is, and I don't generally trust PressTV, being an Iranian propaganda outlet, but that is exactly what he said. I've seen some news, over the last few days, that they are planning on spending a trillion dollars on infrastructure, but it's been in the context of a trillion dollars getting lent by the big banks. That said, God only knows how much money Iraq has stashed around the world, or better stated, how much money we stashed for them over the past 23 years, so they very well could have a trillion dollars slated for reconstruction.

Update from MntGoat Emailed to Recaps Tuesday AM
Hello Eveyone:

I will not do any formalities today and will go right to the information because it is so good.

First let me say I wanted to give you an update over the weekend however the news was extremely hard to get out of Iraq and I could not reach my contacts. Finally yesterday I got through to Iraq.

So why have we not seen the RV already? Its July 1st already I stated.

I asked this question to my contact and here is what I was told- (I will try to quote as much as possible)

The National Meeting was a huge success on Saturday and all the politicians made their grand speeches. The Federation Council was activated.

It was apparent at the meeting that Maliki was stepping back and not really in control any longer. Some small groups of people lingered in the streets late in the night after the meeting and celebrations tampered down and became to get angry as they expected to see the new rate immediately (and he laughed) after the meeting.
….
Read More Link on Right
What hold up? said my contact. We are just fine over here. All is well over here. The currencys’ new rate has been activated mid Monday. It is $3.44 now as shown on posters in the windows at the banks.

I also have a freind who tried to use the ATM to get cash and could not yet do it however the new rate was showing. The cards are activated as others are using the machines successfully.

The new lower denoms are but being rolled out according to type of payout. People were told on the TVs a schedule to watch for their activation. Tarriffs are implemented as the TV news is also telling us over here.

So I asked myself…If it is activated in Iraq on Monday then why have we not seen it yet in the USA?

I don’t know said my Iraq contact. Thus I made yet another call to my contact in the IMF. He is telling me that any country that is not fully Basil III compliant will cause a delay in activation until the final requirements are ironed out.

The USA is one of these countries. I was told this issue is now resolved (he told me how but I will not repeat it since you would not like the politics involved). I also agreed not to talk about it.

The important part is the USA should see activation sometime during the next couple days.

Please don’t shoot the messenger. Like you, I surely hope this information is true. Let’s see how it all plays out in the next couple days. I think we will all be at the bank on Weds or by the end of the week for sure.

Peace and Luv to ya all.

Re: Iraq an economic Study
Great thread from a real banker...

Here is what the world economy plays into Iraq....

-Nations will come into Iraq (WE are there, China is there, Russia coming (see airport)) increase economic stronghold
-Companies will come...look at Citibank!!! They spend a trillion to come in. Guys let me tell you...a bank doesn't come in unless they expect to make money. They don't make money unless they lend...who would they be lending to right now? Exactly!!! They are EXPECTING Iraq to become a power house.
-The world needs Iraq's economy to become stronger, this could be used to swap out a reserve currency used as IQD. The facts are the USD is not what it use to be (and will decline sharply), and the Euro is failing...who's next? China? No, they cheat and will never increase their rate...they'd lose business.\
-Iraq has nowhere to go but up...while I do believe they have 33 trillion in dinar...I don't believe that it is all "working currency". I believe they will "have it listed" until they go international (WTO) tradeable...then they will cut their losses. Do I think it's a smokescreen...no not necessarily...I think right now they are "needing it there because they have no choice"...which is one reason they are using US dollars. While they are in transition they have to hold onto the currency. I don't even think they know how much they will need (waiting on float for dinar).
-I do feel they will allow it to free float...works in our favor anyways. As fast as Iraq's ecnomy is spooling up...the value should increase moderately.

***Bottom line...do I think we'll be overnight millionaires...maybe not...did we make a great investment...oh yeah. While it maybe a while (2-3 years) before they get to that 1.00 mark....it's worth it. Chapter 7 was the cake coming out of the oven, HCL will be the confetti, WTO will be the icing, rate change will be the cake cutter. Hang in there...remember this is BUSINESS! All are in it to make money, but timing is key. God is good, have faith and believe he is working in YOUR favo!

Iraq is an investment Sgt. Companies are investing their "time and money" this will in turn enrich Iraq's economy. There is also stock that you can invest in Iraq (which there was an article referring to Bloomberg). Also the interest rates you get at Warka are MUCH better than anything you can get in the states. Right now banks are paying around .75 (5 yr cd) due to the Fed...not wanting consumers to save money (spend for velocity). So yeah...it is AN INVESTMENT depending on how you play your cards. Some do all 3....currency, stock, warka.
