He is an adult who lives on his own and cant tell his parents about you? And he makes you sleep alone in the garage? And buys you a comforter so you can stay warm out there in the garage? Think about the situation you are in from the outside, you need to find a new man. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3694399 you do make an interesting point." Get a Grip User ID: 1265620 United States 10/25/2012 02:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What does he do while you are asleep in the garage? I mean who doesn't want to sleep with their significant other, that is only for old-been-together-forever cranky couples who can't stand each other but it's cheaper-to-keep-her. |

I'm glad he thought of the gesture and tha he took the time off his lunch break the day before to go get it for me, and I really love him, i just thought I'd get something a little more personal and intimate. What do you guys think about this? I'm curious A comforter is a nice gift. I was thinking when I read the thread title you were going to say you were scared off because he got you too nice a gift. |
green_girl User ID: 23919169 Canada 10/25/2012 02:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you dont "think" hes autistic. holy shit Quoting: Daersoulkeeper if i was your boyfriend and saw your ungrateful post and the words i dont "think" hes autistic i would text you "its over" and thats the lamest way to break up evver, but you would deserve it oh yea and i fucking hate cards. really you need a piece of paper to feel special? how about special words IN PERSON on more than anniversary occasions? oh thats not enough for you? i dont like you already typical american girl selfish and stupid I like you DearSoul!! You think a lot like me. The OP here sounds like she is too immature to be in a relationship. She sounds like a kid that wanted toys but got socks for xmas. Yeesh. I don't like it when my six year old shows that kind of ingratitude, coming from someone that claims to be an adult it is just terrible!! Maybe her bf is not ready to be in a relationship - sounds like he is coming with some baggage or something, but who knows, he is hardly here to defend himself. OP got a nice gift from a man that has different beliefs and sentiments than her. She can deal with it or move on, I suggest moving on. Sounds like an unhealthy relationship anyway. Poor man is going to get his heart broken i think. :malefav: I love this place!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23240077 United States 10/25/2012 03:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Frankly, you're being a cunt. To a man, this sort of gift DOES come from the heart, and is intended to be an item that is used often, provides COMFORT, and is going to remind you of him. I hate women like you who analyze gifts, and then ponder whether or not to end the relationship based on the gifts. To be 100 percent honest, the best gift you could give him at this point is to hang yourself with it. |

Quoting: Artlicious Don't put too much thought into it, really, some people just have a hard time buying gifts. At least it's something you can use, maybe? I guess it could have been worse... My bf for Xmas a couple years ago gave me a 100 dollar bill... after I gave him a couple gifts a week leading up to Xmas and a few more on Xmas day... granted, all small to mid-value gifts but still, the effort. And I got a freaking hundred dollar bill. I was a bit upset, we talked about it and the following year he did amazing. Maybe just let him know how you feel? I probably would have rather had the 100 dollar bill...i know that sounds bad. he said he got it at target and i know it was about 40/50 bucks probably closer to 30/40-45 with his discount card you know what op give him a dear john let him go he deserves way better than you |

Maybe she's 22+23 = 45 and is worried about menopause... lol i didnt mean that. i just had a birthday so i just meant i was 22 and then turned 23 |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 25831277 Canada 10/25/2012 03:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Think about it. It's a romantic gift. The two of you can snuggle underneath it during the winter months. Why would you care about a material item he bought you? That just shows you take for granted how he treats you every day because that's the most important thing. Don't worry about stupid shit like the gift you get on your 1 year anny. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25148952 United States 10/25/2012 03:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | maybe this gift is a clue to you that something is not right in the relationship. Test this out and don't waste more time with him if he is not going to deepen things in the future if that is what you desire. Don't be a woman of convenience. I was in love with a man for 4 1/2 years and he viewed the relationship as great but just convenient really because he did NOT truly love me. He denied this a few times because he knew I would break it off and he didn't have many prospects for a new girlfriend. I knew deep down the love was one sided but didn't want to accept it and went into denial. Essentially, he was happy to not be alone and I was good enough to pass the time. He used me and I finally put an end to it. Don't waste almost 5 years of your life with a man like that. Find out how deep his feelings for you are now. A year is enough time to really find out. By then the excitement of a new love has worn off. If he would jump ship if Miss younger and sexier than you came by and gave him the time of day, he doesn't love you; just using you. |
