Is rejection or regret worst?
Just wondering for those who have lived and learned.

What is worst to live with in the long run?

Everyone I ask, I get mixed reaction. I always thought regret would be worst, but some can't handle the chance for rejection.

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
Is the other rejecting YOU personally or your approach? How many have rejected you? Has your approach changed at all fundamentally?

Rejection is scary because we think it is a rejection of US and not the approach. Work on the approach, and you will not worry about rejection too much because your new way will bear fruit here and there, which is enough to mute the pain of jilted overtures.

Regret- you're in control of the decision. I think this is worse because of wondering, " What if I had.....?".

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
Good question.

Depends on who the rejection is from, I think... If its someone you don't feel spiritually, soulfully bound too... Then regret would be worse.

But if rejection comes from someone who really matters to you, then I suppose rejection would be worse

it is what it is. move on and you may find things get better for me anyway. turn all negatives in you to positives. you will be surprised how often I get what I am after despite the setbacks, at least in my experience it has been this way without fail. shrug.

But sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone to get what you want, yes?

I feel like I never really done that. I have baby stepped outside, but nothing big.

Seeing that regrets outweighs rejection, you guys helped me. I hate the wondering what if....

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
Regret is much worse, regret is the acknowledgement of guilt.

But regret and rejection are not only confined to relationships. It can happen anywhere, work, business.

And some people find relationships harder then life. And others find life harder then relationships. It all works out to about half.

But regret always hurts more.

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
Regret off course.

Rejection only exists when you are expecting something in return from someone. Besides, when you have been in the "game" long enough you will realize it doesn't even matter. Heck, not even God appeals to everyone so how can you? You can't have everything, deal with it and tell that fragile Ego to shut the fuck up and be a man. :)

Another thing, if you need exterior factors to be happy there's something wrong with yourself. Rejection shouldn't have any meaning to you if you were already happy to begin with.

One last thing, most of the time no one is even rejecting you, just the way you present yourself.

Change yourself and the "world" will change how it sees you.

Regret is worse imo.
The pawns are in place, the stage is set. The question is, are you ready?

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
rejection,

regret can easily be forgiven and it doesn't need approval from people. It is easy to overcome regret forgiveness of self and to move on..

It is the rejection that hurts the most.

Saying someone cares and really they don't.

What if god was here for instance, with a learning disability
the biggest thing that is my gripe is that people don't give two shits about people that quite just don't get it all it takes a right word or someone with enough love to may be share there view in loving kindness to help so one will be able understand.

But as the famous saying goes "I AM NOT YOUR TEACHER"

Then why in the hell do we preach the Christ?
Love your neighbor as yourself?

Are we just trying to teach to a certain sect of people who can only figure out riddles???

I am revalutating my personal walk with my Creator,
that is why Love and forgiveness is the fastest way to Heaven.

Not by how much you know,
It is easy for a child spirit to enter into the EYE of a needle than it is for a rich man....

That is my two cents on this issue.

With rejection, I'm assuming you've given it your all, and then the rejection...hurts like hell, but in the end, you can still say, I did my best, and if my best isn't good enough.. at least I tried, "I gave it my best", it wasn't meant to be. You can then move on.

With regret... that is something that will haunt you till the day you die... all the "what if" scenarios your mind can find, you will think of and then some...

In my opinion, regret is far worse.

Why are you not doing what our eldest brother Jesus Christ/Christ Micahel Aton/God advised us to do? does he want you to judge me?

Your does he want you to use your mind and do the best you can and go within and use what you got?

But I forgive you, for you do not know blasphemy, careful who you regard as blaspheming...

No I don't think so, like I have regret because instead of growing, I drowned myself in addiction to cover my pain, but now I am glad that I have overcome everything, and finally giving up the last demon (cigerettes), yeah its regret, but God forgives, and I have forgiven myself,

To move on to the new world is regret, remorse and guilt free.

Re: Is rejection or regret worst?
Regret, by a long shot. At least when you get rejected, you can stop wondering "what if" and just move on. Another way to see it is that if you don't make a move, the results are no different than getting rejected.
