Are women doubling up on menstual cycles lately?

Maybe it has something to do with the BC shot. You might have had buildup of tissue in your uterus and it is cleaning out with a vengeance. Take some iron supplements(women who are anemic will bleed more) and give yourself some time to adjust to not being on that shot anymore. Taking cayenne pepper in some water is suppose to stop internal bleeding and might lighten up heavy periods. It wouldn't hurt to try it.

This actually makes me feel a lot better. I just got my period 2 weeks ago. and am now getting it again. I had kemo and radiation when I was a baby. they are saying that im going through menopause at 31 because of it. maybe it is, maybe it isn't? seems fucked up to me!!!!

Yes, twice in November. And this is unusual for me. I am 39 and in the Northeast. I stomped my feet and said, "not fair." LOL

I am in British Columbia and 39 years old. My periods used to be really light, lasting only 3 days or so and always 28 days apart. For the last year or so they have progressively gotten worse, especially the last 4-5 months and now coming every 18-20 days! Super heavy (unbelievably heavy)and awful, debilitating cramping where sometimes I cannot even go to work because of the pain (and the heavy bleeding). I have been to my doctor several times only to get anti inflammation drugs (don't even make a dent in the pain). I have had an endometrial biopsy to rule out cancer, ultrasounds, cat scan, etc. I am now having some more blood work done to see if it shows me being perimenopausal. It is really bad and it is becoming a real problem for me. I wish menopause would just hurry up and hit me or hell, I may just need to have a hysterectomy at this rate!!!

Same for me, and im 31. they keep telling me its because I had kemo and radiation as a child. been real bad lately!

Awww, I'm sorry. :-( I think I'm going to ask to have my dumb uterus removed also.

That said, don't panic. I have done the math and used all the prophetic clues and about 99.9% sure the end will be last quarter of this century. Newton backs my hypoth up too, so lot's of living to do...

Menstrual cycles correlate with the sun's magnetic 28 day cycle. They are different for every woman because our patterns start when we start our periods @ 13 yrs and continue from there. Many reports of women who who went underground away from the sun lost their periods. Here is one:

Holy Crap!!! Thank You so much for this thread! The past 2 months I have had my cycle every 2 weeks! I am 33 and this has NEVER happened to me before! I have an OB appointment on the 10th... This has thrown me through a loop!!! I havent had a chance to read through all the thread yet but I appreciate you bringing light to this situation!!!

43 years old in Southern Ontario. I have been getting it every two weeks for several months now. Sometimes it skips a month - as it did just recently - from beginning of Oct. to end of Nov. before it came again, and it was a doozy. I have been dismissing it as perimenopause but here I see so many others with the same whacked-out cycle.

This is is quite the opposite of the point of this thread, but it shows that *something* in nature affects the female cycle, which is what could be happening here...

philippines here,other side of the globe from most of you. I I asked my sisters and several friends and all are normal. one strange thing though, unexplained weight loss since november. It feels period/hormone related.

I wasnt signed in... I am in Chicago too! I am not on any Birth control either which i have been off of for over a year.

The thing I HAVE noticed while sifting through the previous posts is that many women have just started this the past few months... Weird!!!

Ok, so keep in mind if there's a shortened cycle that means something is stimulating leutinizing hormone for ovulation in a hyper kinda way.
Yet all hormones cyclically kick in too, and that's a lot for a body to coordinate and keep in balance top speed,right? You might get less bleeding or more protracted bleeding.
After ovulation progesterone kicks in to fluff up uterine lining which peaks just before your period comes...then, it nosedives and then bleeding begins.
So if bleeding continues on past 5 days that means estrogen is not stepping up to the plate to turn off bleeding and stimulate leutinizing hormone for another egg to ripen.

Maizumi Roshi advised a woman bleeding to excess to locate the best primo dark chocolate she could find, and it worked :D..

I have some other thoughts on this, but nothing is crummier than throwing off a good thread. But I think it's chemical.
I know australia has practices the same as in the u.s., canada is close to it. Would be good to have a comparison from ladies letting us know where they are, state or country.

not two in month, but they've been heavier AND also i've noticed, it will start and then completely stop for a day and then go again so its like 2 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on or whatever
