The creatures that are not to be eaten are those which have eating habits and biology that yield poisonous flesh. This is great as they are responsible for preventing the spread of disease.

So regardless of religion, like gravity, everyone must be aware of the negative effects of eating unclean food. Does it always show up instantly? No, but there have been multiple studies that show how certain groups that don't eat pig, shellfish, etc. have dramatically lower incidences of illness. And it is proven that unclean foods are the primary source of all the major food related sickness, disease and death. Coincidence?

Nonbelievers should think about the amazing knowledge about this subject in the bible. For believers, pigs didn't change at the resurrection.

Again, there are two issues here. What is unclean spiritually and physically. The physical did not ever change. Unclean animals NEVER made a physiological change at the cross. Pigs and shellfish are still dirty. They were deemed unclean because they will cause disease in humans and ultimately defile one's body regardless of how spiritual you are.

The physical laws of this life do not change. The ultimate issue is the rebellious heart of man not wanting to divide good instruction. Remember, the first sin was not obeying a dietary law. Chew on that.
