Young men giving up on marriage: ‘Women aren’t women anymore’

I will say this. I had this incredible urge to marry when I was younger, I was getting myself into relationship after relationship. It was really the only thing that mattered, keeping my girlfriend happy and secure.

Fast forward. About 3 years ago, I gave up on a girl I really loved, we had the same interests, always had a good time, I could talk to her for hours and never get bored. Legit. But she was materialistic, selfish, and sort of arrogant when it came to others. She was aware of this, and tried to work it out... long story short a bunch of stuff happened that could not be fixed. And we went our separate ways.

About 6 months after, I started cleaning out my diet, and working out. So much in fact that I feel like I began to change physically and psychologically. I was never in what a normal person would say would be considered out of shape, but there was definitely change.

About three after I have since cleaned my diet almost completely, I am lifting 6 days a week, training Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.

I feel like I have changed completely. I do have a girlfriend, but I have no interest in marrying, my entire set of wants and needs has changed, I no longer prioritize the frivolous and materialistic things that used to keep girls happy.

I guess what I am trying to say, and in retrospect the massive contrast between how I feel now between how I felt then indicates to me that we have been demasculated as men.

Our food, our Television, even our music is destroying what it is to be a man. Even football and televised sporting lets males live vicariously through the acts of others.

Cable Television makes me sick these days. My girlfriend has it on and it literally makes my head hurt.

I changed how I lived, and I feel closer to what I am supposed to be.

I do love my girlfriend, but I am not going to sacrifice my health, my potential, and my life; for E entertainment television

Every one of these useless objects takes what is true about the downside of being men and then flips the script so that they can cry victim. They have no idea how stupid they look when they write stuff like that. Then again, the useless objects were never held accountable for their actions anyway and it comes as no surprise.

I am a woman also and I totally agree with you.

I don't understand the rush. I enjoy being single. I get to take care of myself. Being single has allowed me to understand myself better and what I need or don't want in life.

It's better to get to know someone really well before giving them your time and effort and love.

Did anyone see the pc on tv yesterday where some study was done saying that 50% of the reason why marriages don't work is because the women will not put their spouse s first int he marriage and they need to? Then there were some crazy women who got pissed off and said , wait a min, no, we put our kids first, not the husband. Then men were saying that's exactly why we are divorcing your asses because you don't put us first anymore. It's always about you and the goddamn brats. The men are fucking tired of being put in second place when they are supposed to be the head of the household.

There are decent women out here, there are plenty of us that want monogamy, that work, that pay the bills, that wash our own cars, that mow our own lawns, that are right with God, that are right with their friends and family, that don't live at the mall, that take care of the stray animals, that take care of the sick and vulnerable, that work out and aren't a bunch of liars and users.

Heck Dutch females are even worst. My mother sayt to me dont marry. will only get you in trouble.

My older brother is hard learning, he made the mistake 3 times. First time he married a girl. 1 year later he divorced because she was sucking a other cock.

Second time he had a relationship for 10 years, that woman left him because he was in bad financial weather. My parent bailed him with the money issue.

My parents are in there mid 60s. I'm 22 and I'm traveling the world like a mad man, i have been in more countries then i can remember. I visited the states for 2 weeks. Roaming the world alone and with my best friend.

My brother told me, Wish he had my life.

I dont care about money, I'm going Africa to help the people there. I hope to meet a person there that has same mind set.

A big reason IMO is trust.

I cannot trust woman anymore - i got dumped several times(for no reason). Yes i treat them good - i am kind of a nice guy in a relationship because i don't want to change myself; and i thank god that i had no kids with these woman.

I regularly read about weird suicides because the wife left with the cild - letting the guy all alone only to pay.

Work,small Savings,parents that support me. I wasted precious time as a teenager, so the local goverment placed me in a hospital to help people there, first with old people that needed allot of attention.

Then i asked if i could work with patients that have mental problems. The local goverment hesitated in first try. I told them i had expierence with such behaviour, cause my father has such problems.

They still refused. In the mean time my father made a attempt to commit suicide. My middle brother and I saved him, he stabbed himself in the stomach with a large cooking knife. After that they agreed.

Now i assist the doctors in First Aid situations.

Atm i have 2 choices either becoming ambulance brother, or going to Africa, I made my decision to go to Africa. It aint safe i know that.

I want to train in firearms tho. You never now in what kind of situation you mght get.

I seen my fair share of flesh wounds in a short time.

Give me an effin break! I was the SAHM for years and then got divorced and let ME put it in bold for you buddy - staying at home with kids all day is a hell of a lot harder than going to your job from 9 to 5!! (Or 6 to 3 or whatever it is), where you get to socialize, and get PAID for your WORK. That is what a lot of you men don't GET. Women stay at home and raise the kids and you think that is worth ZERO dollars??? REALLY??? How about this? My ex doesn't pay anything right now because he's too worried that anything he pays will be used towards something for me - laughably - since I WORK for minimum wage whilst he has NO job and lives off his parent's money. So pray tell, where do you get off with this B.S. about half the paycheck and the shelter? ANd if one parent, whether the mother or father, had primary custody and is doing the majority of the care of the kids, they SHOULD have the house. I don't care if that person is the father, the person with primary custody should have the house. Even more ridiculous, most of you don't even have equity in your homes and still whine because your ex wives have the privelage of paying the mortgage on a house worth less than what you paid for. There ARE a *few* decent women out there, however they are the exception and not the rule. You just have to find a woman who is nice and humble. They do exist.

The vast majority that I have dated believe they are God's gift to the world and expect to be pampered by men, like they are owed something just because they are attractive and female. Most women also believe in finding "Mr. Right" which really means they are looking for a guy who is PERFECT (which doesn't exist). The ones like this usually haven't progressed much since high school and are gossipy, catty, and immature. That type of woman isn't worth your time of day.
