Actually the prohibition against pork goes back to the time of the Old Testament of the bible. Most so-called christians just like to conveniently ignore this, and/or try to make up loopholes to consider themselves exempt from the old dietary restrictions.

Actually no, its nothing to do with DNA, that has only became known in modern times with technology. Some people have an utter hatred of pork meat, the smell of it, it makes them sick and tastes like crap. Its called gene "OR7D4". People suggest Mohamed had this gene, since his hatred of pork but no other meats..

I choose not to eat pork out of respect for the pig and our creator. (Pigs are smarter than dogs.) So for me, this is upsetting.

Personally, I would prefer if all prisoners were kept vegetarian. Maybe all the female hormones from eating all the tofu will calm them down.
