[link to www.abine.com] This site offers a free do not track me add on that will block over 600 different tracking agencies. The addon apperas to be free but I believe you can pay more and get a better service. [link to addons.mozilla.org (secure)] This link is for Firefox users and is absolutely free. Both will block most tracking companies. If you're ever worried about new ones popping up in the future, simply run the index.dat viewer again and see if anything strange pops up. It only takes a few minutes to do all of this. Well worth it in my opinion. |

THANK YOU Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. IE completely sucks and I refuse to use it. I'm open to Firefox, but am curious why that's the one you're recommending. TIA for answering! It doesn't track you like IE does for one. Two, it is fully encrypted on web pages that allow encryption. It also has a wide variety of addons that are extremely useful for just about anything you can think of. They're kinda like apps for PC users. If enough people are interested I will do a tutorial on encrypting everything on your PC some time in the future. That one can get complicated though. Firefox is pretty fast as well. |
