The drone issue is pretty terrifying, but that is just the most recent transgression to consider. Bush began the dismantling of the Constitution with the Patriot Act and whoever is in charge (kind of doubting it can ever be a President, again), calls the control shots over our Congress. I try to encourage local spending, myself. And while I see your 'finger in a dyke' metaphor as corporate reality, in a local farmer's market, flea market or locally owned store, you really are making a difference to the individual lives of those vendors. Please keep (or start) supporting them.

America used to be the home of Christians. Despite the protestations of the Atheists, America was founded on Christian principles.

When Yeshua(Jesus) taught us how to pray with the Lord's Prayer, He said in part, "Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven," meaning that we should pray that one day God's Kingdom will come down to earth as it currently exists in heaven. And one day after the Millennium, it will physically come down to earth. We should look forward to this time of perfection on earth.

But it is not now. The earth is full of wickedness and contempt for God right now. And America as a nation is doing little to nothing to turn that around. But how can it? The American gov't has become anti-God. That little problem in Alabama several years ago reminds us of that.

And all the promises of God will be fulfilled on earth, but not by America. That has become painfully obvious. If you subscribe to the Kingdom Now theology, please understand that America is not ancient Israel, and that replacement theology is a false doctrine that has its origins in the neo-pagan Catholic Church.

The Kingdom will come down to the earth ONLY when Yeshua brings it with Him. No sooner. You have no control over Yeshua's timetable. God alone is in control of that, not man.

The lala-land of your youth was always just a myth. I lived in the USA in 1969, then I moved back across the river to an area settled by Loyalist refugees who never bought into your myths.

I think that most of America has changed less than people believe. If you venture into flyover country, away from the left coast, the I-95 corridor, and the ghetto cities of the rust belt, you'll find an America similar to what you remember.

The problem is the LMSM. In order to push their left-wing agenda, they portray the secular-Progressive dream of a post-American social democracy as reality, a fait accompli. They also do this in the schools, teaching the children that the America of the 50s is a racist-imperialist memory on a mouldering historical trash heap.

It is none of these things.

Do some traveling into America's heartland. The great American land of opportunity, of family and community, of faith and tolerance, is still out there.

The American Dream lives. It just doesn't sell newspapers or commercial air time as well as secular-progressive nihilism.

But it seems clear to me that they will not do so. So therefore, suffering and collapse are inevitible, perhaps just like Jerusalem fell in 70 AD. Well, I never meant to say that America won't end up looking like its preposterous LMSM portrayal if the American left is permitted to continue destroying what's left of it. I'm simply saying that we're not there yet, and by a wider margin than most people realize.

We just need to keep in mind what the left knows but is hiding from everybody else: It is the left, not everybody else, who are fighting the uphill battle. While the LMSM portrays conservatives as a few stragglers desperately clinging to a disappearing past, the opposite is in fact true.

National Democrat electoral victories are not a result of the voters deciding the Dems are winning the debate. This is false. They are the result of segments of the population voting themselves money from the treasury, and, for the last two Presidential elections, minorities ADMITTEDLY voting on the basis of race.

For evidence of this, you need only look at the strong showing Republicans made in state and local elections in November. Republicans now control both the legislature and the governor's mansion in 23 states, nearly twice as many state capitols as suffer from one-party Democrat infestation.

It is Democrats who are actually losing the debate, and will have a much harder time for the near future gaining ground. However, the LMSM and its tactic of "argument ad nauseum" (repeat a lie enough times and people will believe it) have a very corrosive effect on the truth. This in turn will definitely continue its corrosive effect on liberty if allowed to continue unchecked.

I'm trying to look past the Socialist vs. Neocom paradigm. I see both parties at the Federal level marching to the tune of the same drum. I think the nation is headed into totalitarianism regardless of which party is in power. I think this has been a problem in Washington ever since Bush Sr.

I think JFK was more conservative than most Democrats and neo-Con Republicans are today. I don't think there will be any true conservatives left once Ron Paul is gone.

So I don't think the nation will be saved if the current Republicans re-take everything. I think they asnwer to the same international bankers that the Democrats do, and therefore will continue with the same policies.

True conservatism in America is all but dead today.

The LMSM picked Romney because they knew Romney would be easier to beat than a conservative. Yes, he would have been a better President than Obama (so would Krusty the Clown), but he never had a serious chance.

The Republican primary election process is fatally flawed IMO, and will almost always result in a Republican candidate for President who has the best chance of losing to the Democrat. The Democrat campaign machine tells the LMSM who to target, feeds them the information they need, and the LMSM does the rest, bashing and slandering his opponents until they become irrelevant and drop out of the race.

For a good example, look at what they did to Herman Cain. Manufactured lies about him they then used to pillory him. Unbelievably, liberals got away with using the old "sexually predatory black man sullying the honor of an innocent white woman" racist meme to lynch him. Who was going to call them on it, the LMSM?

His main accuser, who never produced a shred of evidence about anything, lived in the same building as David Axelrod. Coincidence?

During the national campaign they throw the Republican under the bus. It's then time to trot out all the shit thrown at that candidate by his fellow Republicans with the implicit argument that "hey, his own party feels this way about him".

The Republican, battered and exhausted, is now deprived of the sympathetic-sounding press he got during the primaries. The press portrays their revelations and repetitions of previous attacks as "aha moments",pretending that it was the candidate who had been deceptive rather than the media.

Result: Republican likely to lose. Throw in some 140% Democrat voting districts, Soros-designed voting machines that automatically switch votes, "non-partisan" poll workers handing out Obama literature, and Black Panthers threatening white voters under protection from the DOJ, and it's a virtual lock.

Romney certainly had his own real liabilities, but they were nothing compared Obama's. Obscured youth, questions about his Article II qualification, known associations with racists, communists and radical Islamists, admissions in his own memoirs of hard drug use, etc. Yet Obama won twice. Because the LMSM buried the issues surrounding Obama while inventing and magnifying Romney's weaknesses.

Sad but true.

Yeah, perhaps the Republican drivers are not quite as heavy on the pedal as the Socialists are. But they are both headed toward the same cliff.

At some point, as I mentioned in another thread, you have to make the decision to stay in the car and go over the cliff, or bail out at the last minute and find a different car to ride in.

I came to this realization back in the early 1990's. I think I grieved for about 2 yrs over it.

Then my perspective changed, and I resolved to make the best of this life and world while I can, irrespective of the unfolding disasters around me. Once I realized there was nothing I could realistically do to stop this mess from happening, I reshuffled my priorities and found a way to move on, despite the massive reality check I underwent.

Now I'm a nomad travelling the world. Once out of my home nation, I realized there is much more to the world than I initially saw through my nationalist rose-colored glasses.

My loyalty now is to God and His Kingdom alone. All other nations are just petrol stations and hotels along the road of life.
