I think you're right, and I think what they're forecasting, at least for me, is wrong. Just took a closer look outside....got at least 2 inches already, which I know its much...yet...but the snow is falling pretty heavily already...and the worst is supposed to be tonight?

This. I can't speak for other states, but people in Vermont know how to deal with storms, period. We're pretty much ready by October-November, and just maintain supplies all winter, cause you never know when a storm will hit. Yesterday I grabbed a few more groceries, couple days before got a fuel delivery. But that's just routine stuff for me, whether this big storm was coming or not.

Yep, I'm a Minnesotan, this entirely different storm from Nemo is predicted to be the 2nd biggest storm of the season in Minnesota, with up to a foot or more of snow. Not a problem.

The thing about it is, the low pressure and moisture from Nemo is moving up the East Coast, after Nemo blows through, the storm front affecting Minnesota is going to be moving East, likely bringing another significant snowfall to the East Coast early next week.

Nemo is just round 1 for the East coast.

Round 2 just around the corner.

Yeah, def. worse for So. Vermont...I'm right on the Canadian Border =) Still, I have a feeling we'll get more than 4-8 inches. Maybe not 3 feet, but idk.....got 2 inches here already.

Hurricane winds

Have you ever been in a major snow storm? This is serious, period. Heavy snow can snap power lines, heavy winds can knock out power too. Then you're dealing with the cold - no heat if the lights go out for some people. It's not fun, at all.

The storm warning lasts until 1pm tomorrow, though. I'm guessing 10"-12", but there's always the possibility for more.
