Police Officer Slaps US Soldier

The cops are nothing but paid fucking civil servants.

Why oh why do so many on here give them elevated status in society.

The cops is guilty of assault, clear and simple.
You can't duke someone just for saying something you don't like. Funny, that freedom of speech only applies when it suits the agenda.

You people defending this cop are out to lunch, he is clearly an aggressive roided up ass that deserves jail time for his actions.

Not all cops are bad, but this one imo is the scum of the earth.

The cop is abusive. He cherry picked the situation to show his ass for what he is. Had it videod to snow job it at being a good guy. I felt the need to grab some boots as I watched the creep till the end. He's a hard ass sob who does not belong on the police force. He's clearly abusive........every chance he gets, no doubt. And stupid.

He should have gotten the kid calmed down....that is part of his job training. Who cares if the kid was rude and mouthy? You don't physically abuse citizens!!!! That's the point!

I have zero respect for that bully cop and I have both been in that situation and am a former Marine.

It does seem this way.

Looking at the tape it appears that "bullying", is the default setting for the assaulting police officer. The other police officer was such an enabler, effectively saying yes to every outrage .... Making a point of being seen as on "the bullies" side.

This is classic psychopathic behaviour and has no place in a civilised world, it is moral insanity.

Ultimately,the Police Officer Knew that what he had done,was wrong. The Kid was a jerk but falsifying a Police report to hide that he had slapped him proves he knew he was out of line.
Do what you need to do and then own it.If you can't own it,then don't do it.

What the hell are you talking about? The guy had been robbed and assaulted and he gave a little attitude as he was obviously pissed off so how does this constitute him being a liberal or how does it have anything to do with eugenics? If you support such behaviour by the police then we are very clearly not on the same side as I do not support a dictatorship where police have threats hitting people because they've heard somebody say something they don't like.

Put yourself in the victims position and see how polite and cheerful you are if your stuff has been dumped on the front lawn and you've taken hits by the perps. I suspect you'd take the same stance as most have in this thread which is that physical violence is wrong when dealing with disgruntled members of the public. Words should have been used to diffuse the situation.

You talk about toeing the line, well, that depends where the line is painted and whether it's susceptible to move at the police's whim. At the end of the day it was this guy that called the cops for assistance. He was not the perpetrator of any crime which makes the cops reaction even more unreasonable and uncalled for.

Rarely do I agree with you Brief however in this case you are spot on.

I got pushed from behind from one cop to another choked (had fingernail imprints in my throat) my ankle broke and thrown thru a fence creating puncture wounds in my shoulder by 4 cops. Why because I questioned their legal authority. Then my family got threatened if I sued. So I plead guilty to DC. The judge was pissed when he saw I was pleading guilty tried talking me out of it. All because of a custody issue with a quest and they called me (the homeowner) out to question something I knew nothing about. I knew nothing so I got my ass kicked on my front porch. Judge fined me 15 bucks and said huge mistake and bitched out the DA and said they are lucky I plead guilty. Bottom line is money wasn't worth my families safety from legal mofia.

Did the cop actually said he could press charges or something like that, and afterwards act like he just let it slide.

I'm glad the cops in my country act on reason rather than force, your cops act like convicts. The kid was outraged by what had happen to him up to the event, some small talk would have calmed him down, but if not then I could understand he needed to be calmed down but the cop vent on a ragetrip as you would expect from some street thug.

Not beat a light weight smart ass kid into submission. A few well chosen words could have worked. But, why bother....violence and degradation is so much more fun. This is not someone you are dealing with on the street though so your logic does not work here. If police are allowed to act this way without any comeback what do you suppose would happen? They'd start using this approach in more situations on people that didn't actually deserve what happened to them.

And for the record I am 43, though why that has any relevance on the situation is beyond me. As I said, the victim was annoyed at the police taking a long time and he expressed it.
