Police Officer Slaps US Soldier | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 24537691 Canada 02/08/2013 05:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why oh why do so many on here give them elevated status in society. The cops is guilty of assault, clear and simple. You can't duke someone just for saying something you don't like. Funny, that freedom of speech only applies when it suits the agenda. You people defending this cop are out to lunch, he is clearly an aggressive roided up ass that deserves jail time for his actions. Not all cops are bad, but this one imo is the scum of the earth. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 381452 United States 02/08/2013 05:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The cop is abusive. He cherry picked the situation to show his ass for what he is. Had it videod to snow job it at being a good guy. I felt the need to grab some boots as I watched the creep till the end. He's a hard ass sob who does not belong on the police force. He's clearly abusive........every chance he gets, no doubt. And stupid. He should have gotten the kid calmed down....that is part of his job training. Who cares if the kid was rude and mouthy? You don't physically abuse citizens!!!! That's the point! Fire him, I say! |

The soldier had a cocky attitude from the minute the cop showed up. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33640796 so what? the police persons are the ones with the badges, guns and the power of the state behind them. Anonymous Coward User ID: 24909641 Australia 02/08/2013 06:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You expect this in the Soviet Union or China. But you yankees have to say it's the guy's own fault otherwise you have to admit that the USA is no better then the former Soviet Union or China. It does seem this way. Looking at the tape it appears that "bullying", is the default setting for the assaulting police officer. The other police officer was such an enabler, effectively saying yes to every outrage .... Making a point of being seen as on "the bullies" side. This is classic psychopathic behaviour and has no place in a civilised world, it is moral insanity. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 16213727 United States 02/08/2013 06:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you guys defending the cop are idiotic. THE COP STEPPED UP TO HIM, not the other way around. All the guy said was "US Soldier, know who you are talking to?" which obviously was enough to activate the overactive cop's ego that is already in a power trip overdrive. Yes the cops MUST be tough as individuals, but they don't have to use every situation to display their ego's need for validation by exerting power over others in situations that CLEARLY posed no danger to ANYONE. The cop KNEW he would get a reaction from the guy and HE KNEW he would end up punching the guy, he SET HIM UP for it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23322128 Apparently the 'kid' was on a power trip of his own thinking hes all bigshot. No wonder his roommates beat on him. Being a US soldier doesn't give that little fuck the right to flat out disrespect the very same people that came to help him....The little douch started it with his big mouth. If some little wannabe bigshot soldier said to my husband - do you know who your talking to?..... My husband would reply - Yeah, the peron who just got his ass handed to him - any more questions? the cop wasn't right but,the little prick deserved it. soldier = bad guy for being on a power trip. cop = good guy for being on a power trip. Glad we got that cleaned up. did you read the first 4 words of my last sentance? I did not say that the cop was good for being on a power trip. but, thanks for playing. |

Indeed, and how is telling them they took a long time verbal abuse. Brief, you are full of crap man! Do you want your country going well and truly down the tubes freedom wise? Because that's what's happening right in front of you and you're defending it. Now, stop stroking your weapon and take a good look at what is happening! His entire dialog preceding his attitude adjustment was abusive, post ass kicking he was a reasonable and respectful falla...if you can't tell the difference then you are too stupid to speak with any further... so you're saying this cop set that guy straight? you do realize that guy probably didn't have a problem with police beforehand and now hopes they all die right? how can you seriously have just one little bitty perspective? are you the cop in this video? |

That said, the response to posturing and dick waving is NOT to punch and almost strangle someone who is clearly little to no threat. That officer needs a good civil suit slapped on him. That had everything to do with CONTROL and nothing to do with defending himself, which is surely the bullshit story he was trying to craft for himself there by repeatedly mentioning his "posturing" up to him. The cop should absolutely be kicked off the force and sued. Period. And, I think the other guy already learned his lesson. Ouch. That being said...if he really was a soldier and was taken down that quickly and easily..he sucks. you couldn't see it but when the pig had him on the ground it sounded like he had him by the neck and was choking him which is clearly an assult or even attempted murder... Exactly. You even hear him gasp out, "I can't breath." That cop should be brought up on assault charges at the very least. |

The guy had been robbed and assaulted and he gave a little attitude as he was obviously pissed off so how does this constitute him being a liberal or how does it have anything to do with eugenics? If you support such behaviour by the police then we are very clearly not on the same side as I do not support a dictatorship where police have threats hitting people because they've heard somebody say something they don't like. Put yourself in the victims position and see how polite and cheerful you are if your stuff has been dumped on the front lawn and you've taken hits by the perps. I suspect you'd take the same stance as most have in this thread which is that physical violence is wrong when dealing with disgruntled members of the public. Words should have been used to diffuse the situation. You talk about toeing the line, well, that depends where the line is painted and whether it's susceptible to move at the police's whim. No, he called the police to come help him and then he abused them...I never called the Negroes for help. so, a badge gives a man the right to put his hands on an unarmed man? No, you don't call for a person's help and then berate and ATTEMPT to intimidate them... (fixed) Rarely do I agree with you Brief however in this case you are spot on. |

All because of a custody issue with a quest and they called me (the homeowner) out to question something I knew nothing about. I knew nothing so I got my ass kicked on my front porch. Quoting: BRIEF No, if a criminal is running from a cop over there and he doesn't have a gun, what's he going to do, yell stop and hope the criminal obeys? So you shoot somone for just running? Since when is running a crime? If they are running with another person's wallet it is...I think anyone that runs from the police should be shot, it's an admission of guilt to run from them. You really do have a twisted view of reality. What if someone mentally ill is running from the police because they are scared? Is it justified to shoot them because they didn't stop? Obviously in your world it would be. I really hope it happens to you some day so you can reflect on how retarded your opinion is on this subject. what if someone is mentally ill and Obama decides to take them out with a drone? |
