For many years too. Guilty (sometimes) of trolling and baiting for fun. However!!! Since late December, I have been astounded at the number of revelations and the sheer hypocricy being exposed all over the world, covering many central themes dear to GLP. This time it is different. Instead of GLP being proactive and predictive, it has become reactive (shilling) and revelatory (told ya'll so). This is new ground, a shift in the paradigm. What has been speculated is unfolding, the veil is slipping and the public being exposed to it like never before through a series of exposes. Subtle but growing. There is a bye election in Eastleigh, in the UK. It is close. A scandal has broken out regarding the unappropriate behaviour of one of the managers linked to one of the parties. Normally people would have taken sides. This time, people are sitting, blinking in the light. It has gone from 'Oh, what a coincidence' to 'yeah, right!' Same as this escalating scandal. People are joining the dots everywhere so now I'm of the opinion that there are 'lightworkers'..okay, okay.. There is an organised body of like minded people working behind the scenes bringing the 'matrix' down. Two things concern me. Backlash from the conspirators and destabilisation of society as the truth cascades forth from the dark corners. Either way, TEOTWAWKI is coming. And it all seems to have escalated from late Dec 2012. Cue Twighlight Zone theme.. Maybe the Mayans got it right? wow! this post should have it's own thread! Bravo!  Agreed! What do you say, AC? I have similar feelings about his resignation, before he's ever really done any serious housecleaning. He could have fired 10 cardinals, 100 bishops and 1000 priests to clean things up while he is Pope. Then he could have resigned and left a renewed ship for the next man. Instead he fires almost nobody. O'Brien is definitely not the worst or only offender, so firing him does not count as "housecleaning". He chooses instead just to steer the selection of his successor. I will be watching for more evidence of such steering. I just think he didn't want O'Brien or O'Brien's faction to win the conclave. |

I dislike that all Catholic clergy are smeared because of the sexual abuse scandal. Most priests are good, upstanding men -- I heard a figure about a decade ago that the number of priests who were found guilty of sexual misconduct stood at 4%. That means 96% of priests are good people. A lot of teachers get nailed for sexual stuff, yet all of them aren't smeared the same way. Why not? But for some people, an entire adult life with no girlfriends can probably create some big temptations. People do turn gay in prison, but go straight again when released and the opposite sex is available. In RCC you're there for life.
