Quite agreed. It's just that I see those unmentioned events as a reality in the event of the net 'crashing.' I see a real threat to free survival. I'm mainly thinking about the soon after. I couldn't agree more that a priority of rebuilding society would be comms.
If it's an EMP type scenario, let's hope there are more folks with faraday boxes, storing radio equipment.

ummmmm, yeah that not possible. the internet is essentially a network of every computer on the planet connected together. the internet will only go down if all power on the entire planet goes down at the same time, which is extremely unlikely
