Since most people are not of child bearing age or able to reproduce at all in some cases, population reduction would be swift and in 40 years the population down to less than half what is now, ALL WITHOUT KILLING A SINGLE PERSON and without preventing people from reproducing. The Catholic and muslim ideas of massive procreation to further their religious agendas are what caused the massive population growth, India and China have shown little pop growth in the past 50 years Quoting: Anonymous astrophysicist 1132828 Your proposal was ignored because it was both stupid and totalitarian. Quoting: Shelgeyr Who the hell are you to determine how many children someone can have? Would you rather your children be killed with disease and famine? So you think those are the only options? Global population control or have "your children be killed with disease and famine"? They're not. And it would be breathtakingly stupid to assume they are. Who the hell are you to determine that halving the population of the Earth - if you plan worked, which it would not - would be a good idea? Quoting: Shelgeyr It would work, all one has to do is apply the math, it's pretty simple really Quoting: Anonymous astrophysicist 1132828 You fail to show why it "would be a good idea". I posit that it would be the catastrophic result of monstrous policies. You monster. Oh, and I think your reductionist math is off as well. Quoting: Shelgeyr You say that Catholic and Muslim agendas have caused massive population growth, yet you not only get India's and China's growth rate so spectacularly wrong that I can only assume it is an intentional lie. The populations of both of those countries has more than doubled in the last 50 years - a far cry from your "little pop growth" assertion. No maam, they have not. China has had negative population growth for the past 20 years since it's one child policy was adopted and India is holding steady at about a billion and has been since I've been alive, Quoting: Anonymous astrophysicist 1132828 At the risk of offending the intelligent (don't worry, I'm not referring to you), I'm going to go ahead and go against my better judgement by using a couple of Wikipedia links. China: [link to en.wikipedia.org] This demonstrates population growth. India: [link to en.wikipedia.org] Hey! Whaddayaknow - this demonstrates population growth too! Apparently you're confusing "population growth" with "population growth rate". Remember, any growth rate above zero = GROWTH!!! My guess as to why India is set to overtake China as the world's most populated country somewhere between 2030 and 2040 is because of China's draconian uber-evil "one child policy". That plus the Green Revolution (look it up). Quoting: Shelgeyr You're religious fucktard, I can tell. Probably a catholic. They think they have to have at least a dozen children. Quoting: Anonymous astrophysicist 1132828 Thank you for demonstrating - in your own words - your complete and total lack of any ability assess your opponent's position, much less to make sound and reasoned assumptions. Your "I can tell" is especially rich because, well, no you obviously can't. And you prove it. Just so you know: I was not making a religious statement, nor a religious argument. I am not catholic. I have two children, and since I'm old I won't be having any more. Spare me the cheap shot you're tempted to make based on that previous statement. You seem to think adding the suffix "-tard" to words makes for a cool insult, when in fact it simply reveals what an unoriginal, shallow, callow, and self-absorbed person you are, not to mention behind the times. At a guess - and here I'm making an assumption, but at least I'll admit it - but based on your "...since I've been alive" statement, you're probably a kid, and I'm defining that as "under 30" given the state of perpetual adolescence in which most of our culture is ensnared. Oh, and my wife says "Hi", amused that you can't guess gender any better than you can make a sound linear argument or recite basic facts. So, you either don't know what you're talking about, or you're lying. Quoting: Shelgeyr Thanks for playing. No, you demonstrably do not. |

The CDC can make a referral to the FBI if it finds "possible violations involving criminal negligence or a suspicious activity or person to the FBI for further investigation," according to 2007 congressional testimony from Dr. Richard Besser, who directed the CDC's Coordinating Office for Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response at the time. Per the CDC’s Level 4 risk handling requirements, though, all facilities where such viruses are stored must contain a logbook or other means of commenting the date and time of all persons entering the lab which must be maintained at all times. Biosafety Level 4 is required for work with dangerous and exotic agents that pose a high individual risk of aerosol-transmitted laboratory infections and life-threatening disease that is frequently fatal, for which there are no vaccines or treatments, or a related agent with unknown risk of transmission,” the CDC explains. Meanwhile, two new government reports suggest that security breaches at facilities just like the one in Galveston could give terrorists the means of using biological weapons to conduct massively fatal operations anywhere in the world. The Government Accountability Office released one study on Monday that said the US is at an increased risk for catastrophic accidents at these laboratories, despite being urged 3 years earlier for scientists to more thoroughly secure their facilities. An 87-year-old man in Shanghai fell ill on February 19 and died on March 4, while a man aged 27 in the city got sick on February 27 and died on March 10, the National Health and Family Planning Commission said on its website. A 35-year-old woman in the eastern province of Anhui became ill on March 9 and is in critical condition, it said. All three initially suffered fever and coughs but later developed severe pneumonia and problems with breathing, according to the announcement. The three cases were confirmed Saturday to be infections with the H7N9 sub-strain H7N9 (highly pathogenic avian influenza (new subtype) - human infection) KITKAT123 |

When dealing with biological hazards at this level the use of a positive pressure personnel suit, with a segregated air supply, is mandatory. The entrance and exit of a level four biolab will contain multiple showers, a vacuum room, an ultraviolet light room, and other safety precautions designed to destroy all traces of the biohazard. Multiple airlocks are employed and are electronically secured to prevent both doors opening at the same time. All air and water service going to and coming from a biosafety level 4 (or P4) lab will undergo similar decontamination procedures to eliminate the possibility of an accidental release. Agents with a close or identical antigenic relationship to biosafety level 4 agents are handled at this level until sufficient data is obtained either to confirm continued work at this level, or to work with them at a lower level. Members of the laboratory staff have specific and thorough training in handling extremely hazardous infectious agents and they understand the primary and secondary containment functions of the standard and special practices, the containment equipment, and the laboratory design characteristics. They are supervised by qualified scientists who are trained and experienced in working with these agents. Access to the laboratory is strictly controlled by the laboratory director. The facility is either in a separate building or in a controlled area within a building, which is completely isolated from all other areas of the building. A specific facility operations manual is prepared or adopted. Building protocols for preventing contamination often use negatively pressurized facilities, which, even if compromised, would severely inhibit an outbreak of aerosol pathogens. Within work areas of the facility, all activities are confined to Class III biological safety cabinets, or Class II biological safety cabinets used with one-piece positive pressure personnel suits ventilated by a life support system.
