Frightening evolution: China reports new bird flu case spreads to Hunan province: 23 dead

'...Flu mutating 8 times faster than any flu virus known: The new bird flu could be mutating up to eight times faster than an average flu virus around a protein that binds it to humans, a team of research scientists in Shenzhen says. Dr .He Jiankui, an associate professor at South University of Science and Technology of China, said yesterday that the authorities should be alarmed by the results of their research and step up monitoring and control efforts to prevent a possible pandemic. With genetic code of the virus obtained from mainland authorities, the team scrutinized haemagglutinin, a protein that plays a crucial rule in the process of infection...'

World’s leading virologist warns of potential human-to-human transmission of H7N9

'April 29, 2013 – CHINA – There is no evidence that the deadly H7N9 bird flu has yet spread between humans in China but health authorities must be ready for the virus to mutate at any time, a top US virologist has warned. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said officials in China had studied more than 1,000 close contacts of confirmed cases and not found any evidence of human-to-human transmission. “That is powerful evidence because if you had a thousand contacts with someone with the flu you would be pretty sure some of them would have been infected,” Fauci said in an interview with AFP. Nevertheless, Fauci cautioned that authorities needed to be ready for the possibility of the virus mutating and spreading between humans. “It’s unpredictable as are all the influenza. One of the things we need to be concerned about is this might gain the capability of going human-to-human which up to this point has not happened and is somewhat encouraging news,” Fauci said. “But we still need to be very prepared for the eventuality of that happening.”'

By the way- good morning everyone.
I have enjoyed particapating in this thread, but I have an old girlfriend coming to live w/ me tomorrow. She has cancer and has to do chemo for 12 wks.So I will take care of her during this hellish time, I will try to keep an eye here, but will be very busy w/ her. I am esp. worried about this flu, because she will be immune compromised, so everything I know about infection control will be played out here at my home even before this flu goes H2H ( if it does).Gloves, mask, gown, goggles wash hands until they just about fall off.
Anyway, wish her luck for me. and I will see you all when I can, thanks!hiflower

World’s leading virologist warns of potential human-to-human transmission of H7N9

Posted on April 29, 2013by The Extinction Protocol

The next pandemic? The Spanish Flu Influenza killed 50 to 100 million people in the 1918 outbreak and it only had a mortality rate of 2%. H7N9 arrives with a mortality rate of 20%. Scientists are already calling the virus one of the most lethal ever seen. The consequences for the human race of human-to-human transmission and further mutations of the virus are ‘unthinkable.’

April 29, 2013 – CHINA – There is no evidence that the deadly H7N9 bird flu has yet spread between humans in China but health authorities must be ready for the virus to mutate at any time, a top US virologist has warned. “But we still need to be very prepared for the eventuality of that happening.” Researchers are already developing a diagnostic test to identify H7N9, along with a vaccine, with clinical trials due in July or August. “Work is under way on making a diagnostic test to be able to pick it up quickly,” Fauci said. “We have already started on an early development of a vaccine as we did with H5N1 years ago… Hopefully, we will never have to use it.” More than 110 people in mainland China have been confirmed to be infected with H7N9, with 23 deaths, since Beijing announced on March 31 that the virus had been found in humans. Most of the cases have been located in eastern China, although Taiwan has reported one case. Another case has been found in southern China, while Chinese officials confirmed a further outbreak in the central province of Hunan. Chinese authorities have identified poultry as the source of the virus and have confirmed that patients became sick from contact with infected live fowl. A visiting team from the World Health Organization, which wrapped up a week-long visit to China on Wednesday, said there had been no human-to-human transmission but warned H7N9 was “one of the most lethal” influenza viruses ever seen. Fauci praised Beijing for its handling of the current crisis, contrasting it to the response of the outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome in 2002-2003, when China stood accused of covering-up the scale of the crisis. “It was not the case with SARS in 2003 but the transparency has been excellent,” Fauci said. “I am quite satisfied with the Chinese response.” Fauci likened the current H7N9 strain of bird flu “in some respects” to the H5N1 bird flu strain of several years ago. “The similarities are that it is fundamentally a chicken or bird flu that jumps from chicken to humans and is quite severe when it infects humans,” he said. However, Fauci added: “The difference between H7N9 and H5N1, is that H5N1 kills chickens very rapidly so it is easy to identify where the infected flocks of chickens are. H7N9 doesn’t make the chicken sick, so it has been difficult to pinpoint where the infected chickens are.” There have been 566 confirmed cases of the H5N1 strain of bird flu, which killed 332 people in the world — a mortality rate of 58 percent, compared to 20 percent for the H7N9 bird flu strain. The H1N1 “swine flu” pandemic in 2009, which appeared in Mexico at the same time of year as the H7N9, eventually infected 60 million people throughout the world and killed more than 12,000. The 1918 Spanish flu, which has been called one of the deadliest plagues in human history (killing 5% of the world’s population), had a mortality rate of only two percent. –France 24 [link to theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com]

I have not read this whole thread... so I do not know if this has been mentioned yet.

There is a thread today about "Ed Dames Killshot update." You can locate it by searching the word "killshot".

Ed Dames begins speaking around One hour and sixteen minute into the two hour video from coast-coast. Ed Danes is a world renown remote viewer and he specifically talks about this virus in which it becomes a global pandemic.

He also states that this virus will die by taking "12 drops of oil of oregano" and putting it into a one gallon jug of water. He says to shake it up and the drink only this water until well.

To date, a total of 126 laboratory-confirmed cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H7N9) virus including 24 deaths have been reported to WHO. Contacts of the confirmed cases are being closely monitored.

The authorities in the affected locations continue to implement prevention and control measures.

Investigations into the possible sources of infection and reservoirs of the virus are ongoing. Until the source of infection has been identified and controlled, it is expected that there will be further cases of human infection with the virus.

their still effective ...[se if they have charcoal in them]but to really "fight a virus you must know its transmission characteristics ans survival range .. temp chemicals ..ect. spray sanitizer .. find out about the counties policy on quarantine and emergency home schooling.. stock up on grain meals ect..

I couldn't imagine dying that way. I know when I have had asthma attacks, it is a frightening feeling of drowning and gasping for air... this would be ten fold, to say it lightly.

Is it too early to start ordering new face masks? As well as a slew load of other shit? Better to do now, then wait until everything is unavailable?

From the second link: Minnesota has issued a health alert—they have sent samples from patients who have symptoms of H7N9 to the lab for testing.

I was unaware of this, has anyone else heard anything?

ummm, can I point out the obvious.

Much as I like a good bit of doom, everybody is getting a hard on about a virus which has infected 126 people in a country with a population of what, 1 billion people or something like that. Even if you restrict it to the populations where the outbreaks have occurred you're still talking of 126 cases in a local population numbering in the millions.

So, not so doomy really.

It mutates 8 times faster than other stains of influenza. It could easily get to the point of human-to-human before long.

Believe me, this is the one to watch.

I had a nasty cold last week, well only nasty for the first few hours. Lots of vitamin D, and colloidal silver took it down to a dull, bearable roar in no time.

I boil rose hips with honey and drink it down. Tastes great and seems to work really well. A friends dad showed my this remedy about 20 years ago. I'll be doing this a soon as I get home.

From the second link: Minnesota has issued a health alert—they have sent samples from patients who have symptoms of H7N9 to the lab for testing.

I was unaware of this, has anyone else heard anything?

Btw, that second link is very good. Thanks!
