Anonymous Coward User ID: 33863384 United States 06/23/2013 07:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wouldn't doubt that there is an American "spy" working within the Russian government. If the US wants to get to Snowden, they can. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42057993 I am beginning to think there are two American governments one that is run by Israel / Rothchild and the other that is not, which is actively pushing back. What if the US marines in Jordan have been placed there for quite a different purpose than what the MSM is putting forth? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 3264109 United States 06/23/2013 07:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Now Echo Moskvy writes that #Snowden can leave Russia for... (are you ready?) Belarus - the most democratic country in Europe? - Fun Sunday. Quoting: An Ordinary Greek [link to twitter.com (secure)] He could be anywhere. There are enough interests involved now that it really is impossible to know for certain. Even a videophone interview with him wouldn't tell us much as to his true location. Hell, he could be back in the USA right now, receiving a new identity... All of this could be a way that Obama devised to bring Supreme Court scrutiny into this NSA project before he leaves office... I doubt it, but it is quite plausible... |

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 42057993 United States 06/23/2013 07:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Does Snowden realize what the Kremlin did to ex-KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko for "whistle-blowing"? Yeah...we all know how that ended. Hmmm...it will be interesting to see what happens to Snowden. I mean, I hope he makes it to where ever he's going. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42057993 Polonium wasn't it? Nasty stuff... I suspect we would do the same, though -- to protect national secrets. A bullet would suffice, but Polonium sends a message to any future would-be whistle-blowers. Yeah it was radioactive polonium 210. |
m User ID: 1028241 Canada 06/23/2013 07:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am an American, and I have to say my government is not only evil, but stupid as nails. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42179012 Snowden was a snitch who broke his oaths, but the guy still still knew some stuff that he probably wouldn't of revealed if they offered him amnesty. Now, the Russians (your enemy whether you believe it or not) will get everything !!! That is the problem when leaders reward incompetence and depravity, eventually they become it themselves... Stoned Prophet Are you kidding???? It is not the Russian who are the ennemy. USA is the world worst ennemy and now, Putin is the new savior. Go Russia go. |

If the US wants to get to Snowden, they can. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42057993 Would killing him on Russian soil be wise though? It wouldn't be wise, no way. But, I was thinking that if the US really did indeed want him 'disappeared' they could do it. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42057993 It's entirely possible that our oligarchs have a 'gentleman's agreement' with their oligarchs to murder each others spies. I think it will be interesting to monitor Snowden's fate over time on this... All the world is a stage, and nothing happens in politics by accident. Get your popcorn ready and watch the show.... What happened to those spies that we discovered a few years back. There was a real pretty red headed lady that was one of them. Did the US 'disappear' them or were they turned back over to the Russian government? |
R.P. McMurphy User ID: 39646008 United States 06/23/2013 07:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Snowden will be well taken care of in Russia. It's Putin's way of telling Obama "I will own your narrow black ass if you keep on fuckin' around". And he will too. The world is going mad. The liberal-left has become the new-age Nazi's; conservatives are the freedom fighters. Homosexuality and abortion are held as moral values while trying to a good Christian is attacked and ridiculed. America is literally turning to shit, and Putin and Russia get mad respect. If this keeps up, being it has become bizarro world, I might just apply for citizenship there. 5*s and green thumbs to you for this one, OP. Ontheverge User ID: 17929220 United States 06/23/2013 07:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WASHINGTON — Even before a former U.S. intelligence contractor exposed the secret collection of Americans’ phone records, the Obama administration was pressing a government-wide crackdown on security threats that requires federal employees to keep closer tabs on their co-workers and exhorts managers to punish those who fail to report their suspicions. President Barack Obama’s unprecedented initiative, known as the Insider Threat Program, is sweeping in its reach. It has received scant public attention even though it extends beyond the U.S. national security bureaucracies to most federal departments and agencies nationwide, including the Peace Corps, the Social Security Administration and the Education and Agriculture departments. It emphasizes leaks of classified material, but catchall definitions of “insider threat” give agencies latitude to pursue and penalize a range of other conduct. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36661384 There was a time when russians were defecting to west. Western nations were proud to offer so called sancuary to defectors. How everything has changed around. Who would have thought that one day americans would be running away to russia in fear of oppressors and dictators. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 42095518 United States 06/23/2013 07:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great mind! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12147456 Who helps a spy get away and gives the flight plans to the world media? News has given his airline name, departure and arrival time. Also his possible future destinations. Why would Snowden leave the US over PRISM and run to Russia which has SORM? [link to themoscownews.com] Is there a Russian Constitutional guarantee that comes anywhere near our 4th Amendment? Besides, he's not picking a country that he thinks has the most ideal system of government. He's picking a country that will not turn him over to Obama's office of inJustice. Isn't there something in the American Constitution about giving "aid and comfort" to a traitor? Just because you don't like how they interpret the 4th amendment, doesn't mean they can't interpret the aid and comforting a traitor part better. |

It is obvious you are a Johnny Come Lately to this entire discussion about surveillance. Snowden hasn't really revealed anything that hasn't already been claimed by other whistleblowers. Operational capability hasn't been harmed by Snowden. All he's done is provided the ACLU 'standing' since the ACLU is a Verizon Wireless customer. That wasn't by accident, I don't think. You appear to be of the mind that a cop can't chase a criminal the wrong way down a one-way road. Even in hot-pursuit. You're trapped in a box, and unable to think outside of it. It cannot be a crime to expose crime. That's an asinine position. Clapper PERJURED himself to the Senate Oversight Committee. At that moment he became a rogue agent running a rogue program. |

The US legal system will determine if Snowden committed a crime. Congress people have stated on the news the monitoring was legal. Reality is, you have no say in Snowden's charges or Clapper's. It's up to the courts. Reality is, supporting a self professed leaker of govt intelligence is legally considered "aid and comfort" to a traitor. The US Constitution plainly states it's a crime and all they need is two witnesses. I think the Snowden's videos cover the two witnesses. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 41862433 United States 06/23/2013 07:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After reading this thread and other sites even mainstream ones I don't think they could ever bring this kid to trial in America. More than half seem to support him. I think the public would hit the streets for him in huge numbers. I still don't know what to think of this guy[hero or villain} but boy has he struck a nerve. Even the media isn't all on the same page..this morning half are tearing him apart and some are cheering him on. |
